When the Constitution was written, the Amendments were created to give all Americans the same rights no matter how rich or poor. Unfortunately society has limited our privilege of these rights because everybody wants to be immortal. They don’t want to be affected by laws so they raise the standards. From the first Amendment up to the last ones written not that long ago, they all have limits to how they are used.
The First Amendment is probably the most famous and important of the Amendments. However, over the years it has lost its relevance and meaning in some ways. The Amendment states that we have the right as people to freedom of speech, religion, assembly, press, and the right to petition the government. In today’s world however, freedom of speech seems like a right that is very limited to us. We have to watch what we say and how we say it or else we will get in trouble. A perfect example of this is the school teacher who was fired for talking in negative ways about President Bush and our government. Somebody turned him in and he was fired because of it. This is all stupid because everybody has the right to talk about Bush however they want as long as they don’t threaten to hurt him in anyway. It is a fact that not all people in America have the same rights and laws as others. One perfect way to demonstrate how this Amendment isn’t the same anymore is when it comes to celebrities and famous people. When celebrities get into trouble they are more likely to be let off the hook because of who they are and because
