Tikbalang’s Wedding: A Realization in Equality
The first time I heard the title of the DUP play made me asked on how will the character “tikbalang” be portrayed, or what is the gist of the story. As I stepped in the theater, took my A10 sit, I just realized that not all titles speak of its plot, theme or setting. The ambiance in the theater made me not to feel anything about a “tikbalang” or the fantasy behind it. Instead, we push them more down the mud just like how the neighbors of the character did to her.
