For some time management has known through employee reports and behaviors that there is a significant issue with low employee morale that can become problematic if left unresolved. This document summarizes the issue of low employee morale, discusses the significance, scope, magnitude, and feasibility of finding a solution, and describes how Team C will use research to resolve the issue.
Employee morale is an important aspect for any business to focus on. Through proper research and experimentation, several methods can be derived to motivate employees and bolster their morale in the workplace. Morale is a major factor that can influence success in business. Knowing the mood and attitude of employees while they are at work can also provide ways to motivate them. Employee morale is simply a description of the emotions, attitude, and satisfaction that an employee experiences in the workplace (Erb, 2012). A happy environment leads to a successful environment, and this can motivate employees to strive for success at work. Motivation is a psychological behavior that will add impetus for employees to strive toward meeting their goals (Erb, 2012). The aim is to find and accomplish research that can add value to solutions that focus on developing and maintaining employee morale and motivation. There are several research methods that exist but finding the appropriate method for the specific workplace is the challenge. Knowing the employees is vital to the success of these exercises to work and be continually effective. Business leaders should adjust and control these activities to suit the workplace environment. With the correct business research, and through motivation, employee morale can be an effective resource to leading a profitable and satisfying business.
According to Bankrate.com (2012), Chase is the number one rated bank by assets that total 2.27 trillion dollars, but even with all of these assets, low employee morale can mean less productivity. The problem can stem from many areas within Chase Bank, including lack of wellness incentives, high turnover rate, less than desirable teamwork situations, poor supervision, and improper training. Research into the reasons for low morale within Chase bank could lead to increased productivity and a healthier, more effective workplace. Bringing moral to a higher level in Chase Bank could also bring about employees taking fewer sick leave and foster better morale during the work day. Chase as a company has the resources to research the reasons for the decrease in morale and the best ways to give morale a boost.

Improving employee satisfaction can certainly improve employee performance and even boost workplace morale.
