Humankind Came into Existence
Throughout history in nearly all cultures we can find distinct explanations on how the universe , humankind came into existence and consequently how it all evolved. These theories come in the form of creation myths in an attempt to give the best possible explanation.

Now, if we take a close look at the creation myths we can identify significant similarities and differences between all of them. What they all have in common is that they take a great undertaking by trying to explain what really happened and how everything evolved from that point on. But at the same time they differ in terms of their explanations and reasoning.

One myth such as “How Man Was Created” may believe that it all happened through the idea of spirituality and even in the “The Song of Creation” they go as far as believing that there could have been a possible combination of supernatural occurrences which in consequence led to the creation of the universe. It then goes on to describe the world as a some kind of mysterious and watery dark area in existence. In “Popol Vuh” we can identify themes of cosmology, ancestry and most importantly, in regards to the beginnings of humankind, the form of communication through the use of words. If we take a look at the “African Creation Tale”, we can see how it lays down the foundations or origins of life and how everything evolved from even the most basic resources known to man.

In each and every myth we can find correlations between them. We can pick out their own theories of creation and evolution. Even though many of them might be mutually exclusive, they still attempt to break down the foundations that the universe is built upon. That in and of itself shows the mere curiosity of these cultures and how they have all wondered at some point in time about the origins of the cosmos.
