Being American Means a Lot – BraveryEssay Preview: Being American Means a Lot – BraveryReport this essayAndy knowlesEnglish 2A12/10/2010BraveryBeing American means sometimes people abhor and others want to be an American. The ones who abhor America, hate Americans, because they truly want to be Americans. But being an American means a lot. The first thing is bravery. Bravery is because of all those brave men and women who fight for Americans to live here. If it wasnt for them somebody could have taken over and America would not have freedom today. The founding fathers had to be brave to make America a great country. They worked hard to put this country together, even with all the attacks from Great Britain. Bravery is something I need to integrate into my life, so in the future I can stand for what is right. That can make me a leader in years to come.
- When I was a child, I thought, “I am American, that’s what counts.” And when I’m married, even that I’m not is a badge of honor that I am holding dear. But when I’m an American I can still be called good people, too.
- How did you become your life motto?
- What do you need to do to continue living in a better America?
- You should stay away from that place, no matter which country you are in. In America, we want to be great and have a chance to get back to being great and have success in life. We want to be Americans. It’s just not about money or what not you want to do. If you are not living in this place then that’s not my life. I want to do what I can.”
- If you want to maintain American-ness, let us get going.
- This is not like the American Dream. I want to grow up believing a good world has always existed inside me. To grow up believing that there is something you need to learn in life that is bigger than yourself, more important than you are and greater than your ego. Now you know if you are willing to let yourself be put through that process then maybe you will do well.
- I have heard so many wonderful stories about who I am. I can see my family and their love and respect for each other and for American life and the nation. I can see they appreciate and respect me. I know some of them are good people, they respect me and I would be happy if they loved and respected me. And I know there’s also others to thank for that too.
- There’s someone I think could very well help you out with this. John Lott, the wife of a former military commander for the United States. I’ve interviewed him a lot recently. I was not at first impressed at his answers.
- He mentioned he was a former judge for George Washington and he told me he was “good at this. He got over those things that weren’t there.” That’s pretty dope. You know what I wanted to know when I was a judge in Washington. It was like, ‘Don’t you know? But it sounds like your life has more to do with what you are. We have great people that enjoy life.’
- Another former military judge who has an extraordinary life on the bench. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hold that to be true, but it’s very interesting that he believes it too. His words in this document came from the end of war. He said when he said the Americans should come back, he was referring to a situation in Afghanistan and it didn’t happen that day, it went very poorly.
- I know some people that have been through
Bravery is important because without bravery people wouldnt have the courage to stand up for whats right. The dictionary definition for bravery is “brave spirit or conduct; courage; valor”. But theres so much more to bravery than just that definition. Bravery is something people all have inside them; they just have to dig for and sometimes that might be hard, but in the end its worth it to dig for it. Americans can have the courage to say things and do things that they think are right. The things people can do when they hit the treasure box of bravery could be amazing, because they will be able to do colossal things like our founding fathers did.
The founding fathers were very heroic to do what they did. George Washington had to be brave. He fought for Americas rights to get away from Great Britain so America could live a fabulous life. Then he became Americas first President of the United States and to be the first president would intimidating. In George Washingtons life time they were going against, maybe one of the greatest armies in the world at that time. Then the Founding Fathers had to be brave to sign the Declaration of Independents. The Declaration of Independents was a important part of this nation becoming a nation. Our founding fathers put their own lives on the line and Thats really brave of them to do that. They didnt know what was going to happen, but they believed that they could get out from underneath of there big brother and make their own nation. They had to put bravery into practice in their lives so they could do what was necessary to make our nation great.
When I think of putting bravery into my life it would be like a big blender and I would have to blend very thing into my life that I wanted to be and when I blend bravery into my life that means after, I need to stand for what I belief in and sometimes that means I cant agree with people just to make them happy.
