The Outsiders, as a single book
The novels of James D. MacFarlan and David Leckie provide a vivid, and moving, background to James D. MacFarlan’s trilogy of novels. In fact, the novel is one of the few contemporary-fiction books ever written in English, with its primary focus on being one of James’ personal dramas, particularly its first, The Outsiders.
This particular book is a three-volume narrative of a small band of human spies, living in the middle of the woods and unable to find any clues as to who has the final word. After the last part of the novel, they learn that a young woman named Tessa is still alive. She had been missing since last August, and she was in deep trouble, at least with the aid of a pair of dogs. But this woman, a young girl named Mary, became a member of the first New York Police Department. She and the crew had been looking for Mary, but had to leave some of their old cars at a roadside café, when the mysterious presence of the dogs suddenly overtook them, making them almost unconscious. As it turned out, she was dead when she was turned over to their canine team, and her fate remained murky. The Outsiders were able to piece together what had happened, including the fact that an autopsy from John T. McCourt, the chief coroner, had concluded that Mary had died as a result of a natural bite, and as a result not merely of mental illness. They even discovered that Mary had drowned with the dogs while they were in a swamp.

In the book, you see how an average man is able to recognize how his dog’s scent is changing, who to call, who to chase, as well as some major shifts in his work. You will also discover that when a man is working toward his greatest success, he is still very much on the alert about the dangers of the dark. He goes out to check on Mary, after hearing of the strange dog incident, and tells her that there is no sign of a dangerous dog in the area. After a few hours of searching, he is able to figure Mary out, and asks her to have a look around the woods. After passing by the house, Mary finds her family and has a great deal of trouble with the housekeeper for claiming her own name. Her father, who does not know who she is, reveals to her how she was raised with a strange upbringing, and has taken on strange abilities. Mary is also told that no one was home at the time she was given the name, and that nobody even knows that she is the daughter of an
