The poem “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” by William Wordsworth reminds me of every ones serene place in their mind. The place we can all imagine the beach, by a waterfall, or laying under the beautiful night sky full of stars when we are faced with stress, upset, or angry. Although some people just count 10, 9 , 8, 0 to calm down, I have to take myself away from a situation rather it be physical or mental.” In vacant or in pensive mood ” I mentally take my mind away just a moment in time to think about what is going on in my life right now and the best decision to make.” Which is the bliss of solitude/And then my heart with pleasure fills,/And dances with the daffodils” when these feelings occur after my mind returns from the moments of a tranquil vacation away from everything but peace. I know I have made the right decision and stress in lifted off my shoulders.” They Outdid the sparkling waves in glee” my decision sometimes is the more responsible and mature than my friends so they sparkle to me and make me feel proud. “I wandered lonely as a cloud” my minds vacation spot changes “Besides the lake, beneath the trees/Fluttering and dancing in the breeze”. I love to just lay on the boat in the middle of a lake towards the end of spring. I hear the Geese and their new ducklings, Fish coming to the surface, Bull frogs ,and the oh so
relaxing sound of moving water. Along with the frequent casts of my dads fishing rod I also always love the peace of walking on the beach at night with just the sounds of waves crashing and the cool ocean breeze. The moments I close my eyes, and breath I think of these places and imagine “They flash upon that inward eye. ”
