The ChaseEssay Preview: The ChaseReport this essayThe ChaseWe were supposed to be going to a haunted house; just to see if it really existed. Or so I thought. It started when one of my friends Jesse said “lets go check this haunted thing out to see if it really exists.” “Sure why not” I said. That was the beginning of a long and frightful night. I had no idea what was in store for me next.
“We really need to check this place out” Jesse said. “Ive heard your suppose to see a ghost or something” he said. “Whatever I guess Ill just come along for the ride” I said. We started on our way around seven thirty right after out got out of work. I have no idea where we had gone but it was pretty far from where I worked. It took about a half hour to get there. “I think were there” Jesse said. What he was referring to was the long dark road that led to this so called haunted house. As we started down the road I got a chill down my spine and I already knew that this was a bad idea. All of a sudden our car stopped. “What” I said. “I think were there” Jesse said. We got out of the car and started walking up a rocky driveway.

On our way back to the car our friend said to us “We heard it sounds like there was a ghost in it! I think you must have seen it just a little bit!”
“No one really knows what the hell happened though. “I think they said it was the wind. It didn’t look like wind either. “All of a sudden we were about six miles along, heading north to North Star. We stopped there to check our GPS and saw a ghost. We headed back to the car. We walked around an hour and a half until we finally got to the haunted house. Our friend asked us a few questions, got the message that there was a ghost in the house, drove it around and we heard a soft, groaning sound coming from the house around us. We said, we don’t know what happened though, so it seems like the house wasn’t a pretty place. When we looked around the house, we saw that there was some sort of weird old house up ahead. Some sort of strange little thing, maybe about the size of a building. On top of that, we could see ghosts everywhere and we couldn’t really stop the trail. Some are flying through the air. We didn’t know, was there some kind of power generator on top? We could still hear the occasional screeching, but nobody even noticed. “Ahhh, that’s strange!” we heard a big, soft crack.
“It sounds like there’s some kind of power generator on top of something.. or maybe something like that. No, no, no!” said our friend. “What is there to know?” said my friend. “There’s no way there’s power anywhere here and they don’t seem to know about it!” said my friend. Another crack and you start following the trails. Another big clack and you start speeding off at high speed up and down and get off your own tracks and out here for miles around. And eventually it comes to a stop by us. In the distance we’re all up in some kind of gutter and a hole in the ground, so we all know that there’s something wrong. There’s also an old woman crawling with the dirt out in the middle of this place, with a broken head, just standing there.
“Can someone help me?” my friend asked.
I heard the back noise of the engine. I started racing, I couldn’t quite get myself out of there. We looked around in this mess and nobody came out. “What’s up buddy? We haven’t seen them lately. We haven’t heard from anybody around here either.” said my friend

I didnt know what to expect when we got to the house. We walked a little farther and it was very dark out. Then the next thing I notice is this bright light shining threw some trees. Almost if it was a search light on a guard tower at a prison. Jesse and I got closer to the light; then a house appeared. I didnt understand “this place is haunted?” I said. Then all of a sudden I hear a voice say “sickem.” Then some barking came from the house. I turned and took off for our car down the driveway. We both reached the car and got in. “Go go go go” I kept saying. Then Jesse stepped on the gas pedal and we were off.
“Man that was close” Jesse Said. We pulled over to the side of the dark road to try and figure out what is going on. As we were talking headlights appeared in back of us. We didnt know who it was but we took off like a cannon ball. Then the person in that car sped up and started chasing us. “What is this guy doing” I said to Jesse. “Is he crazy?” He was driving like a maniac chasing us down this narrow dark road. Our car was doing sixty mph in a twenty five mph zone. I was really scared because we were going so fast on such a narrow and windy road. Not to mention it was pitch dark too.
We came out to a main street and almost hit a car because Jesse took the turn to hard. We didnt care to stop so we kept going. The crazy guy was still behind us not giving up. I saw a sign that said the highway was a half mile up. “Lets take this on ramp and will lose this guy on the highway” I said.
