Addison carefully brought the steaming coffee cup to her lips, the warmth radiated throughout her hands like the sun warms up the planets and she almost forgot yesterdays events. She still couldnt make sense of it, she didnt know exactly what was happening but she knew if she told anyone, even her mother she would get locked up for sure.
“Miss, can i get you a refill?” the waitress asks pulling her out of her thoughts. Addison simply nods at her.
The waitress reaches for the cup and lightly brushes against addisons bare skin,She lowers the cup onto the table and tightens her grip as the now familiar buzz returns to her head, suddenly her eyes close involuntary and shes pulled away to a life thats not her own. She glances around at her surroundings to see that she is in an unfamiliar living room, happy photos of a younger couple litter the mantles. She spots the female in the kitchen, stirring something in a pot with a long spoon. Addison doesnt bother calling out because she knows that she will not be heard, the women looks so content. Maybe this one wont be as tragic as the last one she witnessed. The front door abruptly swings open causing addison to whip her head around so quickly she feared she would get whiplash, until she remembered what was happening. Its the man from the photos, her husband maybe? He stumbles in having to balance himself by the doorway, She can smell the faint alcohol on him. Addison then knew that this occurrence wasnt gonna be as happy as she had hoped, the happy home she thought she was in was really a prison. The man had now made his way to the kitchen and had violently grabbed his wife and threw her to the ground, she didnt fight back. Addison couldnt do anything but watch,
