The Future Control of Technology
The Future Control of Technology By Kiara Di MauroSurrounded by technology for our convenience, ease, aid. You, me, him, her never questioned any of it. Warping our minds, depleting our energy. We forget what we once were, nature hidden from us. Everything exploited for our amusement. Through technology they control us, we ignore the fact.Automations take occupations, aimlessly, we let them. No money. No money. No money for breathing, not one breath. To you, me, him, her streets are comfy, thatâs the norm. Yes, Iâm sure of it. The problem is that we donât know the extent, the capabilities of these innovative technologies. Not the problem, they insist. As they look at us with glass dead eyes, and listen to us with audio translate, in fact, not listening to us at all. Talk. Talk. Talk to us through an automatic recording, when was this vocabulary in play? What year was this recorded? Do you know what I am saying, my concerns? Not the problem, they insist. Blinded by all the lies. They have destroyed our morals. We allow billions to be spent on wars and the arms industry, while there are people starving in the world. The brainwashing is so heavy, I feel my shoulders strain as it gets heftier, I can hear her weeps. My darling Elena. I am so sorry. You, me, him, her, follow orders, follow commandments. From machines, the very thing we said we wouldnât become. But thatâs okay, we donât have sickness, we cured that long ago. Genetically modified foods. Whatâs for dinner? Golden rice again, no illness, no variety. Sustenance. One grain needed, one option to cover Vitamin A, B, C. Â The whole alphabet. Iâve lost my appetite, lost the hunger. Why would I be hunger? There is no palate, my tastebuds are jaded. Bring back cheeseburgers, ice-cream, I would settle for a crumpled cookie. Some foods you eat to stay alive, others you eat because not to would be a crime. Wait, crime, did they see me wishing, did they see me want it? Metallic tongues, iron stomachs, no wonder they canât see that there is no love sincerer that the love of food.
