In the future it would be a great asset for departments to be able to immediately communicate with each other and be able to obtain crucial information about other investigation in process. This will save time for officers in finding anyone with warrants in other states but also find similar cases that maybe connected with each other. Technology has been improving drastically throughout the years for the criminal justice field. The new technology has helped officers to be able to communicate more effective within the department but also it can save time throughout an investigation (Stephens, 2005).
