Music may mean something different to everyone. Music influences how an individual perceive life or just everyday experiences, but without music where would society be. Music plays an important part in the life of most people good or bad. It does not matter if it is a doctor, lawyer, husband, wife, sister, brother, aunt, or uncle music has played some part in their life. People use music in many ways and for several reasons. Music helps to sooth, relax, or just uplift if a person is not feeling well or going through a tough time.
Music makes people smile and puts them in a good mood. There are various types of music for several occasions. It just depends on the individualâs mood. Music has been a part of the world for decades. This paper will cover George Gershwin a great musical composer from the 1800âs and his musical composition âRhapsody in Blue â. This paper will describe the musician, musical instruments used in the composition. This paper will discuss what the likes and dislike are about the composersâ musical composition. This paper will explain any feelings or images that the composition may or may not evoke. Features of the musical composition that were most memorable will be discussed.

Now letâs talk about the composer George Gershwin and the musical composition Rhapsody in Blue. George Gershwin a Brooklyn native wrote Rhapsody in Blue this composition would have a profound effect on many people. George was the second born out of four, and was born to an immigrant migrant family. At the age of 13 George started his musical training. At the age of 15 George left high school to work as a Tin Pan Alley âsong pluggerâ and with within three years he saw his first song published (About the Composer, 2006). Georgeâs first song earned him very little money, but he would demonstrate new techniques in his search for greatness. George met a young gentleman named Irving Ceaser. Ceaser was a young inspiring lyricist and together George and Ceaser would collaborate and composed many songs. Their most popular number was called Swanee, this composition sold over a million copies.
