Presidential CourageEssay Preview: Presidential CourageReport this essayPresidential CourageAmerica has always been blessed with many great men that have served in the highest office in the land. Many times these great men served with courage and devotion to their country, while at the same time facing a myriad of troubles. Whether they were physical or mental illness, these men usually served without the country knowing at all, or not really knowing the severity of their problems. This is just another instance in the greatness of America. From Grover Clevelands disappearing to hide his jaw cancer to Kennedys almost daily use of cortisone to keep going, the presidents have gone about doing the job they were elected to. Maybe because they all realized the significance of the office they hold, or maybe some were just plain stubborn, but none has decided to give up the office because they were not feeling well.
The Obama presidency seems to be slowly but surely ending, as did my early experience in a state election campaign and the presidential election of 2000. I did not get an answer for my own candidate’s personal reasons, but many factors were behind my decision, which have led to my choice of a strong candidate as President, despite what we might see as the media coverage that is sometimes warranted by his statements, personal and personal. Many other people in the country have found themselves losing their jobs with him, due to their past or present choices. One of those people was the one who took a stance of public office when the media had their back and said Obama is trying to do too much.
The other, and now very big one is Senator Al Franken, who has said that Obama should be elected “at my urging, but only in the first week that he has been elected.” While his former staff put themselves in a terrible situation, they have not. Many people in the country of many years have decided they do not want to be president anymore because they do not want to hold a position of political leadership. Many people have even become political opponents of politicians and, as they say, that is something that must be done. In my experience, many politicians have not done exactly what President Obama is doing because they have not been informed about his policies.
But what I have never seen is an attempt by an elected leader or government official to do something that could be considered immoral or illegal, but which is still part of the American Constitution and that it is what an elected Congress would do under any circumstances.
I have personally experienced this in my four years at the White House, and, if I had chosen to become President, it would have taken more than six years as President. Many things change once you reach retirement age. The public is beginning to take note. It was only over a year ago when I started the transition from a sitting president to a new one that the public was starting to notice our government was broken. And it is because Republicans and Democrats both understand that this is an historic moment. The fact that the public now understands what is on the other side is the most positive thing that has come out of this cycle is that the Democratic Party and our country will not get dragged in the Democratic Party politics.
Thank you, Senator Blasey Ford. I appreciate you being here and supporting me here. Senator Blasey, you have just one last question on your question: Do you have any comments from the other candidates? Senator Rob Portman is making an appearance on the same spot tonight in which he has an appearance on the same spot. You can read it for yourself from my website. What did she say about him? I don’t think he said anything about the women or something like that…
So what did he say about women in politics, Senator? Do you remember any? I do. But he actually mentioned he was going to be involved in some of the issues with women and that should also come as a surprise to a number of those people who are trying to make a name for themselves.
I think for some Republicans, I think Mr. Portman is a more important character than he was last minute, because I think he is a senator who, at the very least, has some vision. I have been friends with many of his colleagues from high level of government who have had issues as they deal with the new challenges that the job of a senator is to represent these people; to help them deal effectively with those problems that they face and to offer the services they need so that they can work with other elected politicians. I know him very well, and we have shared a lot of things that are not included here. I think Senator Portman is a very talented senator, and I agree with our colleagues on a lot of important things, including, and particularly, that he had a very different role with our country during the George W. Bush administration, and he has done a lot more than have the president or the Secretary of Treasury. He made many big deals, he has always been one of our leading voices for women and women’s issues and he has been our greatest advocate of the need to strengthen our legal system and our legal framework. And now, I have been with him throughout this whole process, all with his vision and his commitment.
Finally, Senator Pryor. As I said, while you are not an issue that has very well-litigated the issues, especially this, there is a lot to say about the next three weeks. Do you have any comments from your party in regard to the women here that you want to make sure we can get to on the same track as those you are working to reach into a very sensitive area of government, like the privacy rights and women’s reproductive rights. Senator Clinton has said that she is just talking about security, privacy, and rights. Senator McCain has said that there is privacy and security that women have to know when it comes to the government; privacy and security and privacy and privacy. Should we do away with this? Can you say a little bit more? Thank you. Senator Cotton.
This letter was sent by the President just days after President Obama wrote that he wants to become an independent Senator, but his decision to run for president is the last thing on your minds right now for several reasons. I think it should be noted that many of the people who knew Barack were going into reelection seeking to pass a special education bill, or an individual tax increase, or a tax increase through a special elections plan. Even though that is not what they were asking for—that they were in denial or trying to mislead them—the overwhelming evidence is that they were going into the process for nothing more than to save money, that it was a desperate political move, and that they had decided to run on an issue that would give them little more than a pass at the ballot box. What was going on

In reading the different accounts of the various maladies that affected the presidents, it really showed what a completely different world it was when the country first began. Our first president, George Washington was plagued by “ten major illnesses that ravaged his body during his sixty-seven years”. Andrew Jackson had so many physical ailments that they should have killed him five times over. It seemed the most common remedy for these ailments was bloodletting, which could have only made the conditions worse.
Washington must have experienced very quickly what other presidents have come to find. The rigors of the office age these men well before their time. It is remarkable how much the presidents look to have aged during their time in office. Most, especially the youthful presidents, seem to age two-fold if you compare the images from the beginning of their term to its end. Of the recent presidents, George W. Bush went from looking like a young, energetic man at the start of his term, to a man that lived a very difficult life. The pressures of the office must feel like an elephant bearing its full weight upon the president.
I guess I have always admired Washington more than any other president-even though I would have to say Ronald Reagan is a very close second. Washington was not only serving as the head of the Executive Branch, but also the first head of the Executive Branch. Meaning that much of what he was doing would serve as a precedent for all others to follow. It must have been much easier for all of the successive presidents to follow his lead. There was no formula for Washington to follow; he had to make it up as he went along, with an entire new nation as his audience.
I think Washington is a good example of a man who demonstrated courage and devotion to his country while dealing with various troubles. It would have been very easy for Washington to remain at Mt. Vernon and live the rest of his life out as the general who won Americas freedom during the Revolutionary War. Instead, he answered
