Global Warming isnt hard to explain
It leaves Mother Earth crying with excruciating pain.
This hurts our planet in every single way
The changes could leave us all in sorrow and dismay.
We need to stop it now so the temperature doesnt rise
People, plants, and animals would be in demise.
Changes in temperature due to the depleting ozone layer
We really dont need it so show us that you care.
Mother Nature cant do it all so lets give her a rest.
We all need to try and do what is best.
Our planet earth is precious and cant be replaced
We need to act now or our home will be erased.
Nature is Cool
By Barbara ~ years old
Nature is cool in its own way,
Nature is cool in the day,
But if global warming happens,
It would not be good
For our earth and neighborhood.
Global warming would make the earth hot,
Which would be like a boiling pot.
Global warming would harm the earth,
Mother nature could not give birth,
To animals and plants,
Earth would be under a trance.
Green plants would lose their fame,
Our waters would drain.
Our government will try to help,
But you and I need to save the kelp.
So start playing it smart,
And do your part.
Life might not end,
If youre Earths friend!
Effects on Mother Nature
By Koko
Mother Nature is healthy,
And has beauty and is wealthy
But with Global Warming in the way,
It will take Mother Natures beauty away
It will become hot,
Like a steaming pot
Leaves will become brown,
Then everybody will frown
We need coolness,
Not hotness
But also happiness,
Please Mother Nature dont come to an end
Because well be your friend,
To help you become healthy and green again!!!
Quotations
Global climate change needs global action now. The alarm bells ought to be ringing in every capital of the world.
Climate change is no longer a doomsday prophecy, its a reality.
Climate change isnt just a scientific question. Its a moral, a religious, a cosmological question. It involves everything we are and what we have a right to do.
We are about half a century away from being ecologically and economically bankrupt because of global warming
Absent the rapid mobilization of climate advocates at every level — and the pooling of all their energy, creativity, and resources into a coordinated, no-holds-barred campaign — we will soon be crossing the threshold into climate hell.
So today, we dumped another 70 million tons of global-warming pollution into the thin shell of atmosphere surrounding our planet, as if it were an open sewer. And tomorrow, we will dump a slightly larger amount, with the cumulative concentrations now trapping more and more heat from the sun. As a result, the earth has a fever. And the fever is rising. The experts have told us it is not a passing affliction that will heal by itself. We asked for a second opinion. And a third. And a fourth. And the consistent conclusion, restated with increasing alarm, is that something basic is wrong. We are what is wrong, and we must make it right.
This is not complicated. We know that our planet is enveloped in a blanket of greenhouse gases that keep the Earth at a comfortable temperature. As we pump more carbon-dioxide and other greenhouse gases into that blanket from cars, buildings, agriculture, forests and industry, more heat gets trapped. What we dont know, because the climate system is so complex, is what other factors might over time compensate for that man-driven warming, or how rapidly temperatures might rise, melt more ice and raise sea levels. Its all a game of odds. Weve never been here before. We just know two things: one, the CO2 we put into the atmosphere stays there for many years, so it is “irreversible” in real-time (barring some feat of geo-engineering); and two, that CO2 buildup has the potential to unleash “catastrophic” warming. When I see a problem that has even a 1 percent probability of occurring and is “irreversible” and potentially “catastrophic,” I buy insurance. That is what taking climate change seriously is all about.
Now we are all learning what its like to reap the whirlwind of fossil fuel dependence Our destructive addiction has given us a catastrophic war in the Middle East and — now — Katrina is giving our nation a glimpse of the climate chaos we are bequeathing our children.
Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it.
