The world has changed dramatically over the past 60 years, and with the help of new technology it makes conducting business with other countries easier. Not only has technology changed over the years, but also our values, expectations, and business mediums. Conducting business with other countries also brings on other issues, such as ethics
Business ethics are the natural assumptions businesses have between each other and when conducting business with other countries, ethics needs to be taken even more seriously. As the global economy grows, businesses will begin to work with foreign countries that have a different culture, different values, religions, and beliefs. It would benefit any business that is planning to work with other countries to study the countrys language, ethics, and culture to understand how to conduct business with them.
Globalization lets countries produce what they do best. If a country can cheaply produce a product, another company can purchase that product and concentrate on other markets that are better suited for that company, but if business ethics are not present and used, then barriers will be created.
Money can be an issue if the culture believes that they can be deceived or that it can be stolen from a person or business. Another ethical issue that can be created or be conflicting is being discriminated against, and lastly, other countries might be opposed to the products being sold.
Global ethics and global economics are closely related that it is hard to tell them apart. The economic treaties and alignments countries prefer are based in part on their ethical values and intellectual backgrounds. Likewise there can be no business unless the basic concept of fairness, justice, and balanced treatment are adhered to by the two companies.
