Advanced Selling Strategies

Advanced Selling Strategies”Success loves preparation. The marketplace will discipline those that are just stuck in the pack.” – Grant CardoneAfter watched the video from Grant Cardone – an American motivational speaker and author, he gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas about sales training. This expert sales motivational speaker speaks to over 2,000 realtors about how to achieve their dreams. He breaks down everything from sales tactics to social media advice for realtors. The first key point is “Dominate don’t Compete”. The most memorable sentence for me is “Dominate in your space, don’t compete in it.”, from this sentence, I understand that some industry leaders have chosen to dominate their space. For example, in the ‘90s, at the height of the dot.com bubble, search engines were fighting for awareness. They each wanted to become the “go-to” source for finding information of any kind on the internet. Today, Google completely dominates this market. With a 64.1% market share, it overshadows the other two “competitors” by a large gap. In second is Yahoo with 18% and Microsoft’s Bing at 13.6%. Together, all three control 98.5% of the search engine market. But Google comes to win when it pertains to the search engine market.
From this case above, although it is not alone in its market space, it obviously has the market awareness and market valuation has obvious advantages. Such a company is not satisfied with merely as Google’s dominant player. Instead, it is constantly looking for more partners to develop their business and increase the effectiveness of the market. As for the biggest problems he said:1. Uncertainty2. Obscurity3. Not thinking of you4. No PersistenceThe first problem is “Uncertainty”, like he said:” If you are uncertain, I’m uncertain.” If people who in a market getting uncertain, it will influence others and they will don’t know if them should do it or not. This problem might happen in managers or someone who response the part of management in a company. The second problem is “Obscurity”. This problem is you should be well-known. Grant Cardone became famous by writing books, even he loses his money selling books. And he showed that people shouldn’t run a business underground, social media is also a good way to be famous, try to use Facebook, Twitter or any others. Perhaps becoming well-known is hard to everyone, but better be famous in your own relationship. The third problem is “Not thinking of you”. The last one is “No Persistence”. A right-thinking, creative frame of mind is all it takes to achieve anything you desire. Being persistent in business will only make it easier to achieve your goals. Business is a domain that is unpredictable, but so is life. We don’t know the end result, but if you have a clear vision of the journey and what it is that you want out of your business then you are pointed in the right direction to achieve that success.
