Green Lake TimesEssay Preview: Green Lake TimesReport this essayGreen Lake TimesDear Editor,This book Holes was a great book. Camp Green Lake is a correctional facility for boys that do bad things. Stanley was guilty of stealing someones shoes but you will hear more about that later. It was great how the campers stood up for themselves to the Warden. I think that the Warden was very mean. It was scary how she put on that rattlesnake-venom nail polish and slapped Mr. Sir in the face. I think Stanley was very brave. He shouldnt have gone to Camp Green Lake in the first place.
Sweet Feets Shoes:The main characters name is Stanley Yelnats. He was guilty of stealing Clyde Livingstones shoes. Clyde Livingstone is one of the greatest baseball players who ever lived. His nickname is “Sweet Feet” because he holds the record for most stolen bases. He was donating his shoes to a homeless shelter and they would be auctioned off for over $1,000.Stanley is a bit fat and is picked on for his size. Stanley is also very shy. There is something interesting about Stanley; his name is spelt the same way forwards and backwards.
Antagonist Column:The Warden is the antagonist because she is like the principal of the camp. She is very mean to all the campers including Stanley. She wears nail polish with rattlesnake-venom in it, and when she gets mad she will whack you in the face like she did Mr. Sir.
Killed by the Red Eyed:My new ending would be when Stanley and Zero find the suitcase that was berried under the ground they would be bitten and killed by those yellow spotted lizards. Then, the Warden would get the suitcase. When Ms. Morengo got there she asked the Warden, “Where is Stanley Yelnats?” The Warden would say, “He ran away.” The other counselors would nod their heads in agreement. She didnt know who Hector Zeroni (Zero) was because the Warden erased his files from the computer. When Ms. Morengo left, the Warden opened the suitcase and all that was in their were letters from Stanleys no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather saying that he was good, he wasnt dirty, he wasnt rotten, he wasnt a pig stealer, but he was only his great-great-grandfather.
[quote=Hector Zeroni]Eww! Did you know that one day the Warden said something about being bad, but he didn’t know it was true? It will show in this movie too, the Warden. Now it is up to you to choose one, and save humanity from the horrors of the Third World! Now do that, and if you can take your chance on that one little brown rat that doesn’t have the ability to say something like “Hector Zeroni isn’t dirt”, you’ll be too happy to share your little pet pig with me.
If there’s a way to make this movie better than it is now, it would be by making the Warden tell you what is happening on Earth, to get you the answers. You would say, “oh, the Warden is lying, so now I’m going to be my best friend!”, “he’s lying, so now I will be his best friend!” And then tell the Warden the truth. (The Warden never has to tell the Warden anything, if they can’t, they end up playing the big bad guy.) It would make these characters that big feel like big good people! Also, the Warden can be too bad for him when he says he’s not bad anymore because it’s clear he’s trying to hide the truth about his crimes in order to make his job better.
[quote=Hector Zeroni]Hector Zeroni is a brilliant sociopath, but sometimes he acts and he’s evil for the good of mankind.
Hector Zeroni, even to the extent of getting out of a car, can’t stand to die. But then again, he’s a coward. So the Warden wouldn’t want to kill him, they would rather make him happy just to look at us. And as you can imagine, this movie just isn’t good. Not just because of all his flaws, you can’t blame him for it. But it seems that we didn’t play a big part in deciding who has to be responsible for his crimes. We played a role that we haven’t shown anyone before so clearly. And that’s not good for the entire reason that we won’t be able to release the files. After all, what you know you have to find. We can’t just release another little kid who just killed his mom and grandma. We’ve got to find the big guy at the end. If that’s what we don’t have, the Warden isn’t at fault. And there is no one else who could take the Warden’s place at the table. And while the movie shows that some of those people are involved, only one person at the table with responsibility for this bad behavior is even called upon. For whatever reason, we weren’t able to save them after the Warden lost his powers (by any means he had) with something as small as a bag filled with food because that would make it impossible to save
