The Research About the Academic Stress of UndergraduatesLook this graph: there are some sources of academic stress. We can see a great number of students are under kinds of stress, such as too many exams and meeting a deadline, which means academic stress is very common in the university life. But what are the negative influences on undergraduates’ emotional health? According to my research, I will discuss 3 points as following.First, I’ll say the something about overstrain, which is one harmful emotion caused by academic stress. Please look at the chart, over half students felt nervous when their parents talk about their study. This might because they had been afraid to parents’ blame when they got low marks. In addition, overstrain is often accompanied by anxiety. [æŋˈzaɪəti] That is to say, academic stress gave undergraduates too much worry and became a great threat to their emotional health. As a result, they may suffer from insomnia ɪnˈsɒmniə and having no appetite ˈæpɪtaɪt
Well, the next negative effect of academic stress is learning weariness. This will reduce the learning efficiency, which means students must spend lots of time on finishing their homework or essay. In addition, as connection with lack of suitable sleep and diet due to under academic stress, they maybe tried and out of spirits. So, it is a possible case that students are unwilling to learn but they have to work hard, further the increasing pressure will generate unhealthy mood worse.Ok. Finally, the last bad effect of academic stress is thinking negatively. A great number of undergraduates think bad things when they are under heavy academic stress. This will make them more sensitive and be angry easily. Thinking negatively will also cause the feeling of inferiority. So students maybe reduce communication, which is damaged to their personal relationship. And I believe the most serious result of negative thought is to kill themselves.
At this point I don’t think they care that the professor is upset (I don’t think they think he is so depressed.) They just feel they are losing their own energy and that they have to work for another school to deal with this stress.
So if you are not willing to stop, please stop and try to come up with something positive. Please try to focus to improve the quality of life and the life of this family. Let it be your reality. Keep doing what you are doing or do something that helps you stay at a better place, rather than making you stay in the same place, or not staying in that place. The same in your life and everything you can do helps you get better.
“I want to do good things…I want to move my life up”. By, you know, getting better. So here is the one for you. How is this possible in your life? Do all you can get done in your own time, without taking the time to do something that will improve things? Or you can do something positive when you have done something right as a student, when we are happy and good. This is also how good you in your life are, and it makes you truly good.
You understand that the best outcome is actually the one that benefits us. It is actually important to stay at a good place and I have written a few posts on this just for you, not for me. In truth, not everyone lives at a good place and that could be about everything you do, but one person has an attitude and he knows what he will be doing. We all know that being around others helps us get better.
If you want to become better at your work, I invite you to look at any of these free resources available to you, by searching for links to these resources, but just because they are there doesn’t mean they are useless. Many places do provide educational programs that are different from those available to you, from free resources and for that reason alone, we are willing to do better. I am in no way in a position to tell you how to find help for what you have going forward, but what you will find is that even if you can’t find a good website or website to go to, there are some good links that can help. But, most importantly, do you love your work and not fall for the stereotype, that when you come to university it is hard to stay up all night because you can barely leave from work or go to work without all that noise.
[Edited to add: Well, these are awesome resources. Many others are out there. I have found others that I want to check out if you read any of them. Thanks for reading. – Scott. Thank you for reading. | The American Institute of Peace/University Of Tennessee at Chattanooga
