The greenhouse effect was first discovered by Joseph Fourier in 1829. The greenhouse effect is from the gardening area but since that change so much in the wrong way. Also the greenhouse effect is just one part of the global warming. The global warming has many parts, from the ozone hole to the greenhouse effect. These are just two parts of the global warming
Our earth is not only one which is effected by the greenhouse effect but also mars and especially venus. The earth average surface temp. is by about 33 degrees than it would be would be WITHOUT the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect mainly is made up out of 3 gasses H2O (36%), CO2 (12%) and O3 (3%). The greenhouse effect stops the normal process which is like following. The earth receives energy from the sun, which is in the form of radiation. The earth uses about 20% of radiation and the rest 70% for warming the land, atmosphere and ocean. CO2 is increased by industrials activities (fossil fuel bruning), such as other human activities. An examoke for this is cemnt production and tropical deforestation. Measurement have shown that CO2 increased from 313ppm (parts per million) in 1960 to about 375 ppm in 2005. This shows that in just 45 years the world got polluted pretty fast (62 ppm). This diagram shows how a greenhouse works.
Heat comes into the room and heats the inside. Also the heat stays iniside of the room and does not escape as fast. Its is just like the ozone hole and the sun. The sun heats up the world and the ozone hole keeps the energy and heat inside the atmosphere.
All of the greenhouse effect belongs to global warming. Global warming changed our world a lot but in a bad. Of course we can change the effects of global warming but it will not all be gone. If we try to do more together we may still save the world of getting worse each time
