If the book Of Mice and Men were accepted in the Disney productions, this movie will change a lot of the main parts of the whole entire theme of John Steinbecks novel. Just like The Little Mermaid, the story was turned from a tragic ending to a happy ending. This movie will mainly alter the whole story of Steinbecks novels.
All of the foul language needs to be removed from the movie. They need to change a few words in order to make it suitable for younger adults. Son of a bitch, and whorehouse, should be edited out of the story. Curley and the others always speak a lot of foul language throughout the whole story. These words will be absorbed into their young minds and will be their speaking term if no one would stop it from happening.
The ending should be changed from a tragic ending to a happy ending. The ending from the book is when George shoots in the back of Lennies head, and everyone cheered except for Slim and George himself. The new ending for the story is when George, Lennie, Candy, and Crooks quits their jobs and bought the farm so they can live off the fatta of the land. Lennie can tend the rabbits. Candy has a new puppy to play with. George can have a new wife and have kids of his own.
The violence should be lessening in the Disney movie. Instead of Curley beating up Lenny and Lenny squeezing the blood out of Curleys hand, when Curley threatens Lenny, Lenny is going to punch Curley in the stomach. Afterward, Curley learned a valuable lesson for himself and he changes his attitude. They should keep the peace with themselves.
This movie will change the course of the whole entire novel and alter one of Steinbecks novels. This ending will make the movie much happier, but it changes the main theme of the setting and plotting, which doesnt contain the message that Steinbeck wanted to send us.
