1967. Herman Melville was born in 1819 in New York. When Melville’s
father passed
away, he became a school master, and after that he was shipped off as a cabin boy. He

about reality and became a storyteller instead of just a writer. Until recently, the actual
events of his life were still unknown to the readers of his work. At the age of thirty-seven,
