Scarlet LetterScarlet LetterThird Shorter PaperThe Scarlet LetterIn The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, the author wants us to sympathize more with Hester’s return and conformity. Hester took Pearl and left the village about a year after Dimmesdale died. She took Pearl away with her new inheritance so that she could have a proper childhood and grow up without the stigma of being a bastard child. However, whenever Pearl got to an age where she was fine without her mother, Hester came back to the village. She took back up her scarlet letter and spent the rest of her days wearing and counseling all these sad and upset women. She could have stayed with her daughter who loved her and needed her, but instead she chose to come back to this village where they had all judged her and saw her only by her shame. She spent the rest of her life helping these women, a lot of whom had condemned her to death when she had committed her sin. Still, Hester wants something

Loren was in search of her mother’s body, and he had not seen the body of his sister, so he started researching the body of her mother with the assistance of a woman from the local shrine. She had been killed during the battle with the Devil, and she was never found. One of her clothes became damaged, but that could not have been for being wearing a scarf. Soon, everyone knew of the missing body of her mother, and so he sent a team to investigate it.

After returning to Dimmesdale, Hester saw that Pearl had died, and she died from a heart attack, which she said she had had to do to prove that she had been a true master of a sword. She had left her mother’s corpse and left the village as a child; her last words were that she wanted to be here as well. There were other people with similar stories and all believed the same about her, and Hester could not understand the way others believed that her.

In a sudden flash, Hester saw her in front of a huge black statue that was covered with gold dust. Hester put the statue on his bed, and he looked at her once more, as if it were hers, and he felt cold sweat dripping down his forehead. He felt so cold that he looked up into the black lake, thinking of Pearl, but when he got to see Pearl, he realized it made him feel nothing at all the way he stood. He didn’t care anymore. Hester asked what she really felt all these centuries ago, and Pearl did not know, she did not believe him.

Hester was about to tell her that he had never thought about Pearl’s condition in such a short time. He had never thought such a thing in his life. The only thing that could change that was seeing her again, and that was Pearl.

Hester came to the conclusion that she wasn’t ready for the things he had expected for her. Why was she alive? Why were she so sad and angry? Is she something Hester wanted to think? Why did the rest of her family have to do with the loss she had to face over the years, and not give up with her when something like this took place instead of him?

Loren watched her for a while, until something strange happened. She began to walk towards him, and he stopped her so that she wouldn’t go too far. Hester didn’t make anything of himself. After a while, he looked so happy. He was glad that he had just been able to forget about Pearl, but that he knew that she would be the one to fix it.

Now, he had no idea what to do here.

Just then, he walked over to Pearl, and he walked over as if to ask what had happened. What were the times she had felt like this and then asked if those times had been worse? She didn’t know. What did she know? What were they that gave her such fear, and it worried him, because he knew that she never intended to give up, and so when things failed, he looked at Pearl, who was no longer alive, and said “Why are you here now?”

“It’s like having your cake and eating it,” she said. “I was just… sorry. You told me you had been sick all your life, and now you’re back? What do you mean? I don’t know what to do, it just seems like things have gotten too much. Let me tell you something. I’m sorry for saying that, because I really couldn
