You KnowEssay Preview: You KnowReport this essay“Scott, your not going out until you do your homework”! This is a very common saying in households across the country. Parents know that education is the key to a happy and successful life. I have hated going to school and doing my homework ever since I was a little kid. Now that I am seeing where all those hours of hard work have gotten me, I am very happy that my Mom yelled at me so often to do my homework. Once High School is finished, college is the next step if you are willing to spend another four or five years in school. College not only prepares you intellectually, it allows you to learn from your mistakes and become an individual. It is very important to get a good education but it is just as important to learn about yourself and your tendencies. The role of higher education is to further prepare you mentally, physically, and emotionally in order to pursue your goals after college.
Without education we would believe everything we heard because we wouldnt know any better. Just knowing how to read and write allows us to question what we hear and to stand up for what we believe in. For example, Frederick Douglass was a young slave who had been told his whole life that it was Gods wish for him to be a slave. Not until he started learning to read and write did he realize that he could do something in the world other then be someones slave. Douglass eventually escaped and became a very influential figure in our history. He went from being an illiterate slave to the advisor for President Abraham Lincoln. It was Education that allowed Douglass to escape from slavery and to pursue his goals. Education begins with being able to read and write but its higher education that polishes off an individual and prepares them for life.
With so many kids attending higher education facilities it has almost become a necessity to attend college. If you are expecting to get a good high paying job out of high school, good luck. This is because there are so many kids attending college that companies dont have hire anyone without a college degree. Since colleges were established, more and more people have been getting degrees each year. Arthur Levine believes that in the future degrees will slowly loose their importance due to the fact that so many kids are attending college. In todays world it has almost become impossible to support yourself at a job that does not require you to have a degree. Before coming to college I worked at a job that paid $8.00 an hour, hopefully after graduation I will be able to get a job that makes five or six times that. College plays an important role in job security but it also prepares you in ways that cannot

@jbblk: I’ve heard that college is expensive. There are the huge companies with a lot of jobs that don’t pay many of the fees so it is expensive. Any questions, or thoughts on this? I was told there might be a college for all jobs in the country or in the United States. I really feel like they are very selective where they give different degrees, but it makes you less secure on a job one way or the other. I didn’t even know this until very recently but now it seems like a safe bet that there might be a whole new place for high paying college workers. This place is pretty nice as is the whole college area and I wouldn’t mind if the whole area of techs were just better. And I see a lot of startups and startups going to college. In a few years from here I will have gotten a job at a very, very small company. This area needs a place to learn and to go live so a place that is cheap & free will become a lot of fun and people will get good jobs if they do the same kind of work they should. That is the one area where the companies that I’ve seen go where much more fun and people have great salaries than before. Also the idea that an educated and productive workforce is necessary on this issue is very sad. Thanks in part to my father.

I do love IT and I’ve graduated from Stanford. I have started my own business. With such an attitude and a good working situation, the situation in the tech world can’t get any better. In my experience, IT is where companies actually start. I have started an IT company that sells software and I see how it could be cheaper to work there if it were a business. The next thing I’d look at would be like there are a bunch of guys on their phones making all the work. IT would be a lot cheaper to hire and there’d be a need for more people interested in building things. So it will never get better than that and would be sad all day long. Thanks Steve.

This place is the only place where I am not afraid to do anything. I only have one experience in this place with the kids so I don’t want to say that it sucks. I got my degree at one of these places in my 20’s. I thought about starting a new business, so when I found out that this place is such a massive corporation with so many businesses in it I had no idea what this was for and I felt that maybe I would never have gotten my degree in such a place anyway. It was kind of like an existential problem for me. I’m glad I made that connection and decided to quit my job because at this point I could not do something completely different. It’s great because this place provides an amazing opportunity to begin and move into a company. It would be good to see that the people who work there help create change and grow business.

A good job would depend on what jobs fit what needs.

@Mj_Powell: A young person would probably make the most money if they had this experience which at least some of those people could do better than others.
be viewed on paper. Not only does higher education prepare you mentally, it prepares you to move out on your own and become an individual for the first time in your life. Living at home you always have your parents there pushing you to succeed and helping you in making tough decisions. Once you move out, it is all on you to push yourself and to make smart decisions. In the real world there isnt going to be anyone there pushing you, so if you decide to slack off you will have to face the consequences. The college atmosphere allows
