H&m Case
H&M has been recognizeding as a company for they concerned about the natural environment and as a key player in green initiatives to preserve, cultivate and safeguard the environment in every sense, not only with throughout collections made of organics fabrics and recycle materials but also with throughout the optimization of natural resources in the production processes of their suppliers .
The biggest main resource that H&M uses in the production of their collections it is the cotton.H&M and iin order to reduce the impact of the chemicals and the water needed to produce the cotton that they use, H&M decided to use implement a only organic cotton policy, making them the bigger consumer of organic cotton worldwide for 2010 achieving in 2010 with this policy being recognize as the bigger user of organic cotton worldwide . Additionally, in the fall of 2011 H&M launched a conscious campaign, in which the company design and produce a whole collection using green resources as the main materials. In this collection the clothes were not only chic and fashion, as is usual for H&M brand but also were made using organic and recycle materials such as, as examples of those materials are the silk and organic hemp and handle and imitation of leather .
Although H&M do not produce their own clothes they are worry about how the suppliers optimize the use of resources. In 2010, with the implementation of new policies in only 6 of their suppliers, dictating on the use of water in theto wash of the denims, they saved more than 50 million liters of water, only in 6 of their suppliers . Furthermore, H&M plans to apply this new production method procedures to all their suppliers in Bangladesh .
BesidesAt the same time, the company has joined a Greenpeace campaign that promises the detox of the supplier chain by 2020, commitment that leads to the elimination of Hazardous chemicals throughout the entire supply chain .
