People from all over the world have gone from having everything in life to having nothing at all because of integrity. Integrity is a huge role in everyday life. There are multiple types of integrity; personal Integrity, integrity to others, at work, and much more. Integrity is all summed up with two words honesty and honor. One persons integrity could change millions of views around the world.
Integrity to others is an important toll in earning respect. Having personal integrity is about being an honest person to others and carrying yourself with dignity and respect. People do not want to be acquaintances with a liar, or someone who has no self-respect or honor. Being honest can take you down some easy and rough roads, but being a liar can make you lose everything if found out. Usually in life if you are truthful about things people will respect you and always think youre a good person. Liars on the other hand, turn people away because they cant trust the person. People care about trust a lot in this world we live in and will always look up to you more in life.
Being honest with yourself, and caring how you look, is a type of personal integrity. Integrity to yourself is being able to do the right thing at all times, and tell yourself when youre doing wrong. If you cannot be honest with yourself, and do what is right, then you will never be able to be honest with another person. Then all your honor and respect is gone and no one can trust you. Personal integrity is not hard, you just have to always keep your mind clear, and be willing to tell the truth even if it will hurt you. The satisfaction you receive from being honest and doing what is right will greatly reflect on your life way more than lying ever could. As a private first class in this organization I have witnessed from many how integrity can change a persons outlook on life as a whole. The marine corps practices being a role model, but I have only seen by my superiors the complete opposite. Integrity isnt just telling the truth its about having respect for yourself and your beliefs. I am far from an angel, but Im quick to point out someone with devilish ways and intentions. We as human beings live in a world of hate and neglect, human beings who are capable of doing whatever whenever they are asked to complete a task. Personally I failed to uphold my integrity, I made a mistake of lying to cover my mistakes that Im known to make over and over again. I have given myself personal time to correct my habits, but when youre expected to be a saint to superiors who are far from it, then why should I have to explain the traits that they fail to uphold as well. My superiors have allowed me to unleash who I know I can be as a leader. I know as a marine I can be better than those appointed above me, but I have lost focus only because I have lost motivation. I am great at keeping my comments to myself, but these individuals who think that they cant be told off by someone with the same amount of common sense as them are in for a rude awakening. I have respect for those who have integrity and a purpose in life, so in turn I have to abide by the same standards. The one thing I have lacked, but will never forget is the use of motivation. Motivation is the driving force by which humans achieve their goals. The term is generally used for humans, but it can also be used to describe the causes for animal behavior as well. The animal kingdom is a place where only the strongest survive. I personally consider myself as a young lion, someone who is relaxed but who knows that they have the power to be stern and put the slackers in the perspective
