The Mice Industry Has Growth RapidlyIntroductionThe MICE industry has growth rapidly all over the world in recent decades (Nelson, 1998). It is no exception that the MICE industry is rapidly developed in Hong Kong. According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board (2011), there are over 1.5miilions MICE arrivals from different countries in 2011. It contributes a lot of economic benefits to the destination.
With the continuous growing demand, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) is built in 1988. It was believed the HKCEC that is the most famous convention venue among Hong Kong. Therefore, the HKCEC will be selected and evaluated whether it is a good or bad convention venue in this paper.
Background informationThe HKCEC is located at the WanChai. The position strategy of the HKCEC is to be the best exhibition and convention centre in Asia and creative operating techniques in hosting the worlds greatest events (HKCEC, 2012). HKCEC hosted 39,606 events and welcomed 70 million visitors (HKCEC, 2012). After the expansion, the HKCEC has 306,000sqm gross area (see table 1) and variety facilities to cater different events (see table 2). It is no doubt to believe that the HKCEC is an important venue in Hong Kong. However, is it a good convention venue or not?

Therefore, it is important to define what the criteria for determining successful convention venue in order to evaluate whether the HKCEC is a good or bad venue. However, there are number of criteria and evaluation of convention venue provided by different authors as well as tourism and MICE association. Hence, it will be used a table to list out all the criteria which are mentioned by
Many of the criteria which do not apply to a good public event are taken to be a good criteria. However, there remains the question is what are these criteria based in, if they do not apply to a good public event? Therefore, it is important to look in table to determine the category on which a convention venue stands (e.g. if at least one hotel has the HKCECArea, whether there is a hotel for convention), the main facilities and the main areas to be chosen (e.g. food, recreation, entertainment, entertainment and entertainment related properties). When the author adds criteria for a good public event in order to evaluate the cost of a good event, it will be a good practice to be prepared to consider all the relevant materials and use those tools in an effort to provide a fair cost. This way, the author will be able to determine which factors are responsible for a good event. With that done, it is very important to use any kind of knowledge, as shown by the following information :
1. How is the cost of the public admission compared? A good convention venue can cost around USD 300 (up to USD 8,300) but it is a good convention venue will provide more to the public (more amenities) of a better venue because its size is reduced and more places are available to enjoy the activities. Therefore, the average cost per person per year for the venue in the capital City of Hong Kong with hotel cost is USD 30,300. In comparison, the average cost for many lodging areas (homes in Hong Kong with rooms). Hence, the average hotel cost per person in Hong Kong is USD 40,000.
2. What is the number of seats at the booth in the Hong Kong convention venue? An amount of 100 seats is allocated to the Hong Kong convention venue per year. A number of these seats should be reserved to the public for conventions and concerts, which is a good place to keep the total ticket count high. A number of seats should be reserved for the VIPs who attend the event and are eligible to receive prizes that are included in the ticket price. However, if a number of seats in the Hong Kong convention venue is not enough, not everybody will be able to watch a pre-set presentation and some people may prefer to watch a post presentation from the official hotel. In these cases it is best to take the maximum seats available and place them only for the VIPs (in the case of VIPs, this limit will be greater than the ticket allotment).
3. What are the minimum number of tickets to the Hong Kong event? A minimum number of tickets is allocated annually to the Hong Kong convention venue. Usually, a minimum of 20 tickets should be given per person. For Hong Kong exhibitors, this is a minimum to avoid “stuffed plastic” spots and places where you may not get an equal number of tickets by having fewer than 20 booths. Therefore, the number of tickets given per person is often called the ‘limit of 20 tickets’. For a full explanation on the Hong Kong convention and ticket allocation rules and tickets you should look at this wiki page.
4. What is the price of the standard 4 tickets? The standard 4 ticket cost is $0.00 (about $1200), or 20 tickets for the day (about $2300) for 3 days. That cost is fixed by the Hong Kong convention venue.
A $4 bill cost of 4 tickets is a very good idea. It will be more profitable for the Hong Kong convention in general to be able to show more than 4 tickets. Thus you are often better off paying on time (you might even have a better experience with live shows). In other words, 4 tickets would provide you a better experience with less downtime, and a better feeling when speaking to your guests.

6. What are the prices of standard and VIP tickets in Hong Kong? A standard and VIP VIP ticket is only valid for a one-day duration and there is no refund on their final purchase unless they hold a copy of the ticket in Hong Kong. A VIP ticket does not require a ticket purchase by one of the Hong Kong exhibitors. There are various online ticket brokers who can buy tickets in Hong Kong. One of these is Ticketmaster. Each one is a different service and you can find your own ticket broker. It is not possible to cancel one ticket. When a ticket has been purchased with a pre-set presentation, it usually makes sense that a special price will be paid to the purchaser in the normal fashion to put the ticket’s value before the standard one. This usually means the ticket price is set at $15. The standard tickets are usually worth about $17.00 during your visit. VIP tickets are usually worth around $20.00 during your visit. Each time you need that special price in a special way (such as having a guest come for you before your normal presentation) it will probably bring something very special into
For some public venues, the number of seats can be high and if a convention venue is not well-lit, seats will get more crowded, as long as there are a good number of VIPs on duty to seat everyone. In like situation, it is best to place a maximum number of seats in pre-set seating. This is done by dividing the number of seats in the pre-set seats as between <1 and 5. This means that an attendance at the pre-set should be around 300-400 and if no number of seats has been allocated, then not enough seats.
It is recommended to buy the ticket from someone who has signed a contract with the promoter before going to your hotel or to contact the hotel (local or direct) if your request is not received without some effort. The general rule about hotel discounts, which are available at all hotels, is:1. The booking at a hotel may cost about USD 30 USD or more.2. When choosing the hotel, you should ask on how many rooms you will be staying in.3. When choosing the venue, ask about the number of chairs you will be sitting in.4. When
