Edgar Allen Poe is a great writer. In my opinion what make him great are his gory, murder short stories. There is similarly and difference his two stories named, The Cask of Amontillado & Hop Frog. They are both great stories but like all of Poes stories they have someone dying.
To begin with, in The Cask of Amontillado story the narrator who is named Montresor and his friend named Fortunato go into a crypt after a fight they have. Once they go inside the narrators crypt in search of wine. Unfortunately one of them isn’t searching for wine; Montresor tricked Fortunato and traps him inside the crypt. Helpless Fortunato cries for help but no use. No one hears him, while Montresor put layers of bricks until he finishes the wall, and leaves Fortunato to die in his crypt forever. The second story Hop-Frog has a different murder; it starts off with a short man named Hop-Frog and his best friend who is also short Trippetta. They are forced into a life of slavery to be court jesters for an evil king. Hop-Frog has had enough living the way he is living so he decides to trick the king. The king asked him what would be a good idea for his upcoming party. Hop-Frog says for him and
