Temperature on the RiseTemperature on the RiseFor ages, the planet has been changing. Scientist have been studying these changes for years, but there are ongoing disputes about these mysteries. One of the biggest issues has been climate change. Some believe that it is caused by human activity, and steps should be taken to prevent major damage to the planet. While others believe that climate change occurs naturally, and the world should panic state about these changes. It is hard to deny these changes exist, as well as the fact that the way humans live has changed greatly over the past few centuries. Without a doubt, global warming is due to human activity and must be addressed immediately because the actions of mankind create the greenhouse effect, generate holes in the ozone layer, and destroy the environment.
First, humans have been increasing the amount of greenhouse gases trapped in the atmosphere. This is called the greenhouse effect. These gases stay in the atmosphere, and then warm the earth (“Global Warming”). The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has risen greatly in a small period of time, as well many other gases that can do much more damage to the atmosphere in only small amounts (“Introduction to Global Warming”). The world is dependent to on things such as factories and cars. Humans use these much more than necessary, without even considering the consequences. The gas emissions produced by these on a daily basis ultimately warm the earth greatly because all the heat gathers in the atmosphere. It is hard to deny that changes in human life do not have effects on the earth. The increase in technology over the years has changed almost every aspect of life. With these changes, also come different effects on the planet that mankind should look out for. Many countries signed a treaty called the Kyoto Protocol to address this issue. It asserts that this “would require industrial countries to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.”(“Global Warming”). This issue has become large enough for countries to address it internationally, but some nations, including the United States, did not sign it. If continued to be ignored, then the earth will continue to warm causing more troubles.
Furthermore, humans are creating holes in the ozone layer by using harmful products. The holes in the ozone layer then allow more UV rays to hit earth’s surface and warm it. These products are called chlorofluorocarbons (“Introduction to Global Warming”). Some examples of these products are air fresheners and hairsprays. Think about all the humans in the world that use these kinds of products on a daily basis. In abundance, it can cause harmful effects on the earth in the long term. Many other manmade products cause problems on a larger scale as well, not just individuals using aerosol cans (“Climate Change”). The amounts of UV rays that pass through the ozone layer are at an alarming rate,
The ozone hole is growing all over the planet.
Possibilities for a global solution
Possibilities for geoengineering (for example, geoengineering carbon storage) are just more possible options for the global poor. For instance, if we were to use a cheap, relatively easy to produce chemical, bio or herbicide, this would allow us to reduce or eliminate carbon pollution due to weather fluctuations, pests and other human activities. However, the current global climate is more extreme and has greater dangers of a lack of adequate air flow, poor health and human loss of ozone layer protection.
Climate change
As a simple example, consider the case of the US over the past 24 years, which has seen a decline in total global temperature from 0.6 °C in 2009 to 0.3 °C in 2015. This is due to a reduction in carbon dioxide content and increased risk of food poisoning. That is why a simple natural gas-based method that has been developed, or applied in the US, could be used to change this situation. It is already possible. Unfortunately the U.S. energy policy (from 2005 through 2011) is still not clear about the impact of such a change on the climate or its effect on the global economy.<2>
Global Climate Solutions
Global climate solutions are important for many reasons. First, global climate change could be reversed in short time and there could be a reduction in the total quantity of greenhouse gases that would result, resulting in a decrease of human emissions. While many geoengineering solutions are available that work at low temperatures (typically between 5°F and 23°C), there is nothing certain about the results. It is also possible that an additional 3-5°C warming will occur in the next ten to twenty years, or even 10%. The problem is that this amount would be too much to handle. For instance, if a new world order emerges and brings a complete change to the human race, for example through a worldwide climate war, or more broadly in a global war against the developing countries, the potential for rapid change is substantial.
The problem with such a solution is that a lot of countries, including the United States, are not able to adjust rapidly with the changes generated by a new world order or other climate change factors such as global warming. Countries need to act quickly to address the problems faced by the world. In general, countries need to provide assistance to the poor or those on the path of climate change, from addressing climate change and climate change mitigation programmes to addressing water shortages, deforestation and other resource needs.
To address the problem of climate change using effective, safe, and rapid
