Her works explore her love for her husband, her sadness at the death of her parents and other family members, and her struggle to accept as Gods will the losses she suffered.

She views her items as things that god had given her and therefore he had the right to take them back. Yet, at the end she realizes that her belongings dont mean as much as she thought. She wanted to dispel that God gave her what she has and therefore is able to take them back.

That her hope and treasures are in heaven meaning that she has lost hope and her belongings.
Her love can only be compensated by her husbands love for her. She hopes that god awards
