“The Great Gatsby” written by F. Scott Fitzgerald was about a wealthy man named Gatsby who throws parties just to attract one woman. Gatsbys feelings for a woman named Daisy leads him to hard times that ends with his death. Two other characters died because of love a woman named Myrtle, and her husband Mr. Wilson. (TH) Love leads to arguments, jealousy, and a horrible accident all are the ingredients to the deaths in the story.
(TS) Gatsby tries to get Daisy away from her husband Tom, this enrages Tom and spawns arguments between each other, which ends with Gatsby being murdered.(CD) Gatsby starts up trouble with Tom when he convinces Daisy to leave her husband, by making her say to Tom “I never loved you.” For Tom hearing his wife say “I never loved you” made him very upset, (CD) and knowing that Gatsby forced Daisy to to leave him, this makes Tom form a powerful hatred for Gatsby. After a argument between Tom and Gatsby, Gatsby and Daisy dive back to were on their way back to Gatsbys house with Daisy at the wheel, she accidentally runs over Myrtle. Tom then drives by the scene, and finds out that she was killed by a (SyCD) yellow car, the car that symbolizes wealth which symbolizes Gatsby. (CM) Knowing this Tom doesnt hesitate to tell a grief stricken Mr. Wilson that Gatsby killed Myrtle, when he comes by his house. Later on Mr. Wilson finds Gatsby swimming in his pool, and then he shoots Gatsby to death. (CM)Gatsbys love for Daisy gets Tom so angry that he uses Myrtles death to tell Mr. Wilson to go kill him for loving Daisy.
(TS) Early in The Book Myrtle has a relationship with Tom, but her love for him gets her beaten by Tom, and eventually killed. (CD) During the relationship Myrtle tries to become something she is not, a upper class woman. Myrtle, Tom, and the other characters decide to have a house party later on where she said “Daisy! Daisy! Daisy! Ill say it whenever I want to! Daisy Dai-” (CD) Tom then breaks her nose, (CM) because she was just a poor woman who was trying to lower the value of Daisys name by saying it. (CM) Myrtle got too comfortable with Tom so she thought she could do anything, since she considered herself Toms equal. (CM) Even after being hit by Tom she keeps her feelings for him, this kills her near the end. (CD) Before Tom and Gatsbys fight she sees Tom pull into her husbands auto repair shop driving Gatsbys car looking for gas with another woman sitting next to him. She goes insane
