Ideal boss
There are many excellent workers but, unfortunately, there are few good supervisors. A boss is the person who controls the entire work process. Sometimes people believe that the ideal boss would never have any expectations, any standards, and would give bonuses if we just showed up on time. They are in fact very wrong. So, how the ideal boss should be like?
I suppose that every supervisor has to have strong knowledge in his business specialization and also be self-confident. For example, If a boss manage the engineering department its necessary for him to know all about production. It is impossible to have a good boss without knowledge or a boss who is afraid of doing a business.
Secondly, the ideal boss is someone you can respect. A boss who lies to her spouse or friends doesnt earn much respect. He will be willing to betray and deceive employees. If he or she breaks the law, hell break the rules with his employees.
Moreover, he or she should treat employees with respect, no matter what positions they hold. Every person should be treated the same, regardless to the class, department, location, or personality. Its a hard but necessary job for a boss to stay aware of all employees, even the quiet ones, and to make them all feel important.
Furthermore, the ideal boss should inspire employees. Ability of positive reinforcement and building up people to higher ideals and higher performance levels makes a good leader. People want guidelines, recognition, and encouragement.
What is more, the boss should be competent and is willing to work. He must be responsible for decision making process, because employees cant respect a boss who just gives orders but doesnt make his own contribution.
The ideal boss is one in whom the employees believe. He or she is one who inspires them, who allows them to be supportive and encouraging to him, and who shares his wisdom with them. They never lose sight of the fact that he is the boss, but at the same time they arent afraid of his power. They feel confident approaching him or her with ideas and questions and know theyll get a fair response.
