Illegal immigration is an on-going issue, which is of much importance in the United States today. The number of illegal Mexican immigrants continues to rise at an incredible rate, causing the United States government to take action and creating even-handed solutions that would be in the interest of both the illegal immigrants and the citizens of the United States. Immigrants are more motivated to enter the U.S. to build a better life for themselves and their families by securing a higher paying job. The argument is that the illegal immigrants are taking jobs away from American workers, hurting the economy, destroying American culture and the way of life, and are responsible for a big part of crimes and drug trafficking. On the other side, many people in the U.S. believe that the illegal immigrants are noble people who cross the border for a chance at a better life, that they do not harm the U.S. economy, and that they do not deface Americas culture. The different opinions about illegal immigration are the source of all the chaos, which is yet to be resolved.
Legalizing immigration will bring up the economy in the U.S. because it would now have increased tax revenue and that way resources and time wouldnt be wasted trying to deport the people who are only here to escape the poor quality in home countries. Illegal immigrants are supporting our economy by taking jobs that Americans dont want. Americans wont be satisfied or sustained by being paid one dollar an hour reaping wheat, or farming corn. Americans would protest for more rights as an employed citizen, and therefore, the prices of things in the U.S. are taken for granted. Alien workers play a very important part of the U.S. economy and throughout its history. The topic of illegal immigration often irritates emotion and currently gears many attention in the press. Immigrants are having more of an impact on the economy than ever before because of their large quantities in people. One of the benefits of immigration is that immigrants do pay taxes like property taxes, social security, sales tax and income tax providing a boost to the U.S. economy. In fact, many of them pay social security taxes and never collect it because they give fake social security numbers to their employers so they are not caught and deported.
There are approximately twelve million immigrants in the United States. It would be a waste of time and resources to try and deport millions of immigrants. This will create a new problem of a rising number of orphans and foster children. Deporting all immigrants would cause an outrageous increase in taxes.
“Millions of hard-working people who make enormous contributions to their communities and workplace are denied basic human rights because of their undocumented status.” Amnesty is a viable answer for some Mexican immigrants, who are in illegal status her. The proposed immigration amnesty would benefit the 12 to 20 million undocumented aliens(illegal immigrants) currently living in the U.S. An amnesty for illegal aliens forgives their acts of illegal immigration and forgives other related illegal acts such as driving and working with false documents. The result of an amnesty is that large numbers of foreigners who illegally gained entry into the United States are rewarded with legal status for breaking immigration laws. Amnesties encourage additional illegal immigration into the United States.

(4) In his “Resolutions for the Promotion of Civil and Political Rights and Their Effective Integration into the United States Government,” the President also said that it is important to have a “progressive” approach to civil and political rights in a modern world. (4) In a letter to President Harry Browne, the president described how civil liberties are under increasing pressure that has forced him to create a Department of Homeland Security. This is particularly true since: “For nearly a century I’ve been trying to prevent terrorism by protecting civil liberties, providing for free elections, and ensuring that our Constitution preserves and guarantees to our citizens the rights not covered by slavery and that they receive the protections of the Constitution at the polls instead of being treated as second-class citizens who have had to pay for their personal liberty as if they had to live in these free countries. And for decades, as the government has attempted to pass laws to protect both of those freedoms, it’s been the government attempting to undermine the civil liberties of our nation’s citizens. And since the Civil Rights Act of 1964, these actions by the government under the guise of civil rights have lead us to an unprecedented number of racial-based discrimination law changes at the federal, state and local level. And while there is no end to the progressivism that is taking hold in the U.S., at every level of government, this is not unprecedented in American history. In many ways, civil rights are a product of hard times and are no longer working as they should.”

(4) In a speech to the United Nations General Assembly, the President described the importance of the United States’ role in upholding human rights, human development, peace, security and the rights of all humanity. He emphasized that America stood and would stand up for its people, particularly through a peaceful transition that will lead to the end of the decades-long War on Terror. He reminded the United Nations members that the most important challenge of our time is to ensure that we preserve human rights, strengthen our security and defend civil society. Like many Americans people come to America, to seek “their dream” it is unjust and unfair that one must be forced to leave both opportunity and family behind. America was founded by immigrants that have worked hard to get us where we are today. In our world today some immigrants are not for the safety of this country, but neither are all who enter it are a bad influence. People just want a chance to start over, in the “Land of Opportunity.” immigrants are just as important as any other person and they contribute a lot to our society. They helped the revenue of the U.S. grow, influenced societal changes, and once they have reached America immigrants deserve the right to keep working for “their dream.”
CONS Americans believe that undocumented immigrants are exploiting the United States economy. The widespread belief is that illegal aliens cost more in government services than they contribute to the economy. According to Alan Greenspan, “Some evidence suggests that unskilled illegal immigrants (almost all from Latin America) marginally suppress wage levels of native-born Americans without a high school diploma, and impose significant costs on some state and local governments. However the estimated wage suppression and fiscal costs are relatively small, and economists generally view the overall economic benefits of this workforce as significantly outweighing the costs.” If illegal immigrant workers had been kept out of the U.S., employers would have had to pay higher wages to attract American workers. The American workers are unable to work for the low wages that many illegal immigrants are willing to work for. Some illegal immigrant workers may live with 10 or more adults in a single residence or apartment. Many do not have insurance on their cars or have health insurance, but they can go to the emergency room of a hospital, and most hospitals must supply emergency medical care to any patient. The health care may essentially end up costing the illegal workers nothing. Since most illegal immigrant workers have no or very few assets, it is not cost efficient for the hospital to spend much time and money trying to collect payment. This is assuming that the illegal
