Importance of an Education
“Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.” John F. Kennedy (1917-1963.)
The importance of learning and grasping a quality education enables the individual to put his or her potentials to optimal use are clear. Without education, the human mind is incomplete. No individual is a human being in the working world has been able to succeed without some proper source of some kind of education. Now Im not saying youre not a human without an education; the mind was made to be trained and without education, a person is incomplete in that sense. Education makes a person right thinker and a correct decision-maker. It achieves this by bringing him knowledge from the outside world, teaching him to reason, and acquainting him with past history, so that he may be a better judge of today. Without education, a man just sees a room. With education, he finds himself in a room with all its windows open to the outside world. In other words, people who are not educated have less chance to do what they want to do.
A person that gets a good education will become a more dependable worker, a better citizen, and a stronger consumer. For example, people would rather higher an educated person rather than a non-educated person. When looking at the long-term effects of an education, our economy needs these educated people to know how to keep the economy efficient and not get into a bind in the future. Take for instance the 9-11, if we didnt have educated people than the economy would be ruined. But there are a few exceptions, Bill Gates for instance (Since he is very educated); in elementary school he quickly surpassed all of his peers abilities in nearly all subjects, especially math and science. His parents recognized his intelligence and decided to enroll him in Lakeside, a private school known for its strong academic reputation. This decision was good on Bill Gates life. At Lakeside, Bill Gates was first introduced to computers. Gates went throughout his life learning and doing great things. Offered a scholarship to Harvard he soon dropped out; little did he know he would be one of the richest people on earth; because of his passion for education. So would it be right to say that he would understand the economy better? Of course not but thats not what I am trying to say. How advanced do you think the computer would be without him? The more educated someone is, the more knowledge one obtains on different subjects.
Each person has a different level of understanding for each subject there is to learn about. That is why there are experts in every field you could go into and each part if that field is something that is a treat to the world. Since technology has come as far as it has in the past decades, there are important skills that must be learned. Strong science and math skills are needed in order to build the many interstates and highway, houses, schools and electrical systems. These skills have been used in the past, but not nearly as much and as precise as they are used now. No one knows what the future holds. The skills from the yesterday are used today, the skills of today are going to be used tomorrow, and the skills of tomorrow are going to be used in the future. The only problem is that we dont know what the skills of tomorrow will be because more skills are going to be added with the more technological advances we make daily this is again why an education is so essential in ones life.
There are different levels of education that can be completed. The first level is receiving a high school diploma or an equivalent to that. This level teaches students the basic skills needed to live and work in the world. The next level of education is a vocational school, college, or university. This level expands on the skills needed to live and work. A vocational school uses a more direct approach to teaching students specifically the trade they want to learn, along with the skills and knowledge to succeed and advance in business. Colleges and universities give a person an all-round education so that one has a deeper understanding of how everything is supposed to work. The more education received, the better a person will understand how everything fits together in the world. People need education so they know their role and how they can help improve society. Education is a part of life that no one can ever take away from a person.
Im not sure what I want to be but right now but I am pursuing in the field of business. Both of my parents came from different backgrounds. When my mother was growing up education
