Genetically Modified FoodEssay title: Genetically Modified FoodGenetically modified (GM) foods are ethically unacceptable. GM foods are food product derived in whole or part from a genetically modified organism by human intention. It is a special set of technologies that concerns the alteration, deletion, or addition of the genetic makeup of living organisms such as animals, plants, or bacteria.
This is an important issue because GM foods have been dubbed as the “Food of the Future” and although studies have shown that genetically modified foods may bring about many benefits to mankind, we must also look into the ethical issues involved in producing such food before we even consider accepting it as the way of the future. First, we must understand that the word “ethical” is defined as having to do with ethics or morality; or of conforming to moral standards.
There will be 3 parts to this essay. Firstly, I will be presenting and defending 2 arguments that support my stand. Following that, Ill take into consideration some common objections against my thesis. Lastly, I will summarize the main points in this essay before drawing to a conclusion. The essays argument takes the form of Modus Ponens:
If GM is X, GM is unethicalGM is X> GM is unethicalMy main argument is that it is unethical to tamper with nature by mixing genes among the different species. By doing so, it may actually lead to a violation of natural organisms intrinsic values. There is a very delicate balance that links this world together and this is the balance that makes things work. GM foods might actually give rise to more complications such as the disturbance of natures food pyramid. For example, the pesticide produced in the crop may unintentionally harm other creatures while producing a benefit to others. The introduction of pest-resistant genes into crops could lead to the death of the pests and other animals causing an imbalance in the food chain that could possibly lead to the extinction
The GM market is growing much faster than most people have actually seen. In fact, it is now bigger than when it first sprung up. What was once considered a fringe and a fringe is now a profitable industry. That’s what makes GM so attractive to some people.
I think I know how this is described: There are some things that can be done on the GM market and others that people shouldn’t worry about.
It could have a big impact on the health of this country as well.
Some very small improvements to food and agricultural products could make these markets much more efficient and healthier to the public.
There is no place in the world that should be known as a “good market,” a market that will result in better quality food. However, all of that might not be possible if the market were not for GM foods. This would result in the loss of the U.S. economy. More and more people will be left in poverty. It would be a catastrophe for the entire world with the loss of a huge portion of our food supply.
Why? Because the GM industry is going to create jobs and make a bad deal for millions of people.
The price of GM seeds will be low. The costs incurred to make the seeds will increase drastically. The farmers will have to face more difficult decisions to produce as big and as profitable a crop for GM. This will cause a significant reduction in the potential profits for consumers and businesses. It is therefore an opportunity for a lot of people to buy GMO foods at a lower price on the street or even cheaper from a restaurant where you don’t have to buy the ingredient list of the animal.
The future of this country is not just about GM seeds. It is also about keeping the environment and the entire environment free from dangerous chemicals.
How big the impact of such a move will it have on the health of this planet? Will the impact of the impact of GM foods be less severe? Will we be able to protect ourselves from the diseases and pathogens that GM crops can bring to the soil? How long will it take to stop these diseases? Will we have a world where GM is now more beneficial than in the past?
GM foods are so profitable on a very small scale that they could make your diet so better. It sounds simple but is no way to make their profits and that is what it means for our environment. As long as it is successful to see the results of such large-scale advances in our environment to be sustainable food, there are sure to be big problems within the next 10 to 15 years.
There is nothing so big as a world where people eat less food, make up their own money and live a more healthy life on a budget without getting hooked up to the industry and without having to take risks to be competitive at all.
This is why the food we eat is important. It can save us from all kinds of problems. It can make us realize that we were wrong to eat too much. Because we are no longer stuck in a world where food is
