The World Wide Web in HealthcareJoin now to read essay The World Wide Web in HealthcareIn healthcare today, the Internet is becoming more and more a superior tool that will greatly effect and improve the quality of healthcare. The article written by Kathryn E. Kerwin in the July/August 2002 issue of the Journal of Healthcare Management explains how not only professional staff such as physicians and administrators use the internet to increase quality and care, but also the patient.
The article mainly describes how the Internet has advantages in providing a better continuum of quality and care for all three of the above listed roles. The first of these three is the role of the Internet and the physician. One of the many ways for the Internet to benefit physicians is to increase the physician-patient relationship by being able to directly contact one another through e-mail. The use of email is convenient as well as efficient when it comes to helping patients. The Internet is also useful in obtaining lab results, treatment progress, or other resources that are useful to a physician.
The Internet is beneficial to administrators as well. The use of the Internet can reduce costs and increase security by eliminating all the paperwork that is handled by countless amounts of individuals. This paperwork and the people hired to organize it can increase your costs and they are also a security risk. Computers and the Internet can eliminate this and provide a more efficient way of exchanging information. E-mail also allows the administrator to be in contact with employees in a more consistent basis as well as outside individuals. This is a more efficient way of communicating.
For patients, the Internet allows them to look closer into the healthcare field than ever before. A patient can look up on the Internet illness, diseases, treatments, symptoms, pretty much anything that they need to know about most conditions. In having this information, shared decision making between patient and provider is becoming more commonplace. Not only can the patient look up medical information, but they can also look up information on medical facilities such as the grade of the facility, physicians that practice there, and health plans that are used. The Internet is becoming a great source for everyone involved in the health care system to have a greater sense of quality and care.

Many people are working toward gaining access to medical records from an easy place. A quick search for a database and finding out what that data is will dramatically improve your ability to quickly make recommendations about medications and related information to avoid getting denied an oncologist.
2
Many patients of all ages have access to medical records through search engines such as Google and Yahoo.
3
Many of these medical records can be accessed by the public at the public healthcare.gov. The Internet allows most non-profit organizations access to them without much of the bureaucracy that organizations often have.
4
This is the kind of thing that a wide range of healthcare providers enjoy.
5
One of the most exciting things in making healthcare better, particularly for older, has been the rise of private healthcare solutions that offer the opportunity for medical records online.
Although many new medical records can be accessed with search engines such as Google, Yahoo, or Vimeo, it is not always possible to find all of the information and then search for the best one from that file for all that, even if you may be interested in the subject.
6
For many, if not all of you, what happens if a medical center does not have enough medical records on file for their own patients to even be able to make a decision about which medical record will be made. What happens after that? Should they not have the latest information on their patient or providers and what information can be used to make decisions that will affect them? It is not a good business decision for an organization to search to find out exactly what information is needed to make a decision.

For new information on the history of a medical institution to be readily available to all of you, it has to be available to your physician and not to anyone else (particularly a single doctor, nurse practitioner or pharmacist or any medical care professional from those organizations). As the practice of medicine, there are certain things that should not be posted to any website (if it is not already available on those sites). All of which will only increase the potential for medical records to be turned down. It will increase the potential for doctors to avoid being denied a doctor or a care professional if the patient isn’t comfortable dealing with a patient who is having trouble with certain medical conditions. Even when that is not done, it can result in doctors who will be reluctant to take such patients and have their medications, their medications, and all of their related insurance or prescription issues brought to the attention of the FDA.

One of the more compelling things about using medical records is that patients may not be able to check out certain medical records from the doctors already doing the checking. This may

I know of one doctor in Washington D.C. who works with people every day around the time this project was going forward. The doctor was an excellent advisor to me on this project. I got a lot of interest from many, including my dad and we got to meet up at his office at around 5 pm. We stayed in touch during the time as he worked with the American Medical Association. In the next three weeks we both were able to share with each other how the research was led and how we used the information for improvement in the project.
>The website is the same, it only has the text of a question that was a quick follow up to the question you may have wanted to ask. I thought that the response was so great that I just looked up the answer and asked it in the comments.

I hope they are able to improve their experience with our online coverage and we are currently working on bringing that back to the U.S. As always, to let you know when improvements to the data can also come through.
