Indian media–initiated since the late 1700s with print media started in 1780, radio broadcasting

Internet as of 2008– making it the 18th largest country in the world in terms of broadband
Internet users. India also ranks 8th in the list of countries by number of television broadcast
stations by 1997 statistics.
