Description
According to the Human Resource (HR) manager, the company supports diversity of employees. Diversity of employees benefits company through the ideas of different people who came from different work environments. These ideas could produce innovations and better products. Diversity does not only give advantage to the company, but also creates problems. Due to dissimilarities in beliefs and perspectives, employees tend to have insecurities and comparisons among the other. So considering the different characteristics of the workers, the Human Resource (HR) managers are flexible in managing individual differences. The managers solve the issues in a case-to-case basis. Also, the HR managers do not act on issues or rumors that do not have enough evidence.
Application/Analysis
Individual Difference: The group observed that HR manager has a positive perspective towards diversity. We had understood the implications of diversity in working environment as the manager explained his/her idea. We also found out that merging one group of people to another creates benefits and difficulties to the company. Also base on the answers of the manager, we conclude that the company treasures its employee. It is because the manager wants his/her co-workers comfortable in their job given the personal differences with each other.
Communication: The group believes that the general communication in the work place is still open and candid. The employees can create written reports about their concerns directly address to the manager. In a result, the system of communication creates a better place to share ideas and knowledge with one another. Due to open and candid communication, the employees are willing to follow the decisions and orders of the higher rank.
Informal Communication: As the manager
