In essence, the impact on an individuals psychological development can be influenced by several aspects. Consequently, a major impact on moral or emotional characteristic of an individual psychological development can be influenced by genetics and environment. There are various theories regarding the aspect of personality that can describe individual traits, for example family issues and support systems. Family can play an integral role on developmental growth and modification. Several psychological researches have suggested very vast importance to the individual of his effective ties, established in early childhood, to other members of his family of orientation. Investigators within the genetics field explore discrepancy in behavior as it is shaped via genes, which are the building block of inheritance from parents to children. However, these particular factors are merely the characteristic of the social world. “Different individuals exposed to the same environment experience it, interpret it, and react to it differently. Stereotyping
Stereotyping is said to be when one person generalizes about another person or group of people without knowing the truth. For example, saying all Muslins are terrorists because of what happened on September 11 is stereotyping. People create stereotypes when they cannot or will not try to get the correct information required to make a unbiased judgment about another person or situation. Without having the correct knowledge or “total picture”, stereotypes opens the door for others to “fill in the blanks.” Todays people will generally innocently generates and keep alive stereotyping. However, these particular undertakings regarding stereotypes can lead to unwarranted distinction and anguish, especially if the categorizing is fault-finding. When people judge others or groups based on his or her prejudices and stereotypes and treat them differently, he or she is engaging in discrimination.
