What Is the Individual’s Duty to His Government and What Is the Government Duty to the Individual?
What is the individual’s duty to his government and what is the government duty to the individual?     Well, recently, the news of star tax evasion has been raging in China, nearly 200 stars are suspected of tax evasion. In shock, we can’t help but start thinking what is the relationship between individual and his government? In my opinion, without an individual, there is no government, no government, and personal interests cannot be guaranteed. They cant leave each other. For example, in the U.S. constitution, people ‘establish Constitution for the United States’ in order to ‘form a more perfect union’ and ‘secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.’ It shows that individuals and governments have common interests.  First of all, in my opinion, the individual’s duty to his government is do his job without prejudice to morality and do it as hard as he can to make his life better. Because everyone wants to enter a better life and that is their common goal. The government is a kind of organization with certain scope of activities, common economic, ideological, political purposes and common social interests. That means the people create the government in order to make them enter a better life, and the only thing they need to do is do his job without prejudice to morality. For example, Ma Yun, the richest people in China, his taxes can be compared with the taxation of a small city in China for one year. Not to mention the market economy effect he brought to China but the reason why he created the Alibaba was not because of he wants to contribute to the construction of Chinese socialism. The only reason he did this was that he didn’t want to go to the monthly salary to barely support his life. I think this is why the US Constitution does not stipulate citizens rights. (The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people). The US government knows that citizens’ pursuit of a better life will also be his own success. Also the US Constitution try its best to protect people’s wealth. For example in suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.  Second, human desire is endless, according to the commonwealth, human is born evil they are always tried to fight with each other. this is why people always want to have a better life. In order to full their desire, they will do anything they can. So, in my opinion, the government’s duty to its individual is use law and education to control their individual’s nature. This is not only  protects the government itself but also protects its people. The law can play a warning role, cut the bad idea of people quickly. But this cannot solve the problem from the root. The best way to solve this problem is education. Education can divide into three types. First one is the physical education, which is to improve the physical development. And the second is humanities education which is about civilization and progress. And the most importance one is spiritual education. And this is the only way that can solve the problem from the root. It can improve the moral character, of people so that people can be different form animal, instead of a monkey with a good weapon. Many countries record education as a civic duty. (Article 46 of the Constitution of the Peoples Republic of China: Citizens of the Peoples Republic of China have the right and obligation to receive education. The state trains young people, teenagers and children to develop in terms of morality, intelligence and physique.)
