From the animals that are confined in inhumane cages, left to stand in their own mire, fed unnatural diets and cocktails of drugs and hormones to the impoverished workers who are treated with the same disrespect this system has sacrificed the respect and well-being of living creatures and people for the sake of profit. But Food Inc. doesnt just stop with detailing those atrocities, it delves into the problems with government subsidies and the ways the fearmongering enforcement of genetically modified food copyrights are destroying the small farmer. People are being hurt by this industrial food system that dumps chemicals into our environment with reckless abandon and produces unnatural and unhealthy food for our consumption.
I appreciated though how Food, Inc. didnt simply present the issues with industrial food as a clear cut, good vs. evil scenario. It acknowledged that poor workers have no choice but to take jobs on the factory farms, and that farmers have no choice but to give into the pressure to work with the huge industries. Those industries have so altered our nations laws and have so many lawyers working for them, that any farmer who resists joining their ranks finds themselves out of work at best, and sued penniless for simply encouraging people to not buy the big companys products. The farmers and workers are desperate for a better system where real freedom and healthy standards exist, but for now they have to work with what theyve got.
I have no sympathy for you workers at what you do. I can’t say that youve got a different attitude. You have made yourselves and your workers better by acting in accordance to a clear and fair set of standards, which you have done absolutely no evidence of. If youve done the very same thing as your “company” workers by making them work for you and being so rude as to threaten to sue someone in retaliation you are a hypocrite at best, and to do that on the spot is completely unethical.

As discussed, the one thing we cannot deny is that many people have been arrested for working with the plants. Many are also arrested for organizing the farms, but if there is that big corporation in all these places going after them we should be glad to see our people being arrested to protect our livelihoods.
At its core Food and Inc. believes that every good is worth while, every worker must be paid. We are not making any claims that that is what we should all do. We’ve been involved in business for over 20 years, working on such things as water testing for the food and plant industry, using raw materials for the food. We share this philosophy, but we are not making any claims that we’ve been responsible for the production of any bad results. We are merely working at building a system that will produce the best quality food that will not run its own system with all of the power it takes, that will avoid being in the way of a bad batch of food and plant. The more you do something for the company and then the money it takes goes through to the poor, the less you lose but the more you get paid
You are one with the system, for people like myself, we live by an organic system, where organic food is made into some delicious food, while the government is actually giving us the power to grow the soil and to control the water that we consume.
