Technology Creates Easy, Instant Access and Forms and Builds upon Relationships
Technology creates easy, instant access and forms and builds upon relationships.Good afternoon fellow debaters, chairperson, (time keeper) and audience members. The topic of todayâs debate is that technology is harming our relationships with others. As the negative team, we strongly disagree with this statement. As third speaker, I will be summarising my teamâs case, however before I can do so, I would like to acknowledge some errors of interpretation and misleading statements put forward by the opposition.First and foremost, the oppositionâs team line that technology is inhibiting our interactions with others is completely outlandish. statement that technology is harming our relationships with others is completely outlandish. Technology is but bringing upon new relationships and strengthening others. With social media, conversations can be initiated instantly regardless of location and more. So, if anything technology cannot be harming our relationships with others as it allows us to forge and build upon relationships with instant conversation.(Refutes)Possible Refutation:AffirmativeNegativeDestroys the element of face to face contactTechnology such as skype has created an even better way of speaking face to face.Creates unwanted problems such as bullyingAll users of technology whether it be social media or the internet in general have a digital footprint and therefore can be tracked down much easier than if something happened in a verbal communication.Taking up too much timeThrough technology we are actually building more relationships and our technology is quick and efficient. Technology creates easy, instant access and forms and builds upon relationships. In Summary, my first speaker argued that technology creates and builds upon relationships and it how strengthens both work and school relationships. She spoke of the fact that technology creates connections or friendships that would not have been made without the use of technology. For Example: In technologies such as âLinked Inâ work employees are capable of establishing new support systems and connections in their work system. OR in the school situation, where children can uphold social media including kik and Snapchat to talk to one another collectively and build upon new relationships that would not have been formed in the day to day schoolyard.
My second speaker argued that technology enables us to keep in touch with those we cannot see often. She spoke of the various technologies and social media available such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that play an enormous role in users being able to keep updated and still continue the relationship with the other person/ people. My second speaker also argued that the revolutionary technology available today allows relationships to flourish with personal communication, seeing one another face to face with applications such as skype and FaceTime. These allow conversation in the sense and atmosphere of a talk in person. She also introduced the fact of how instant communication is today. Now, we can correspond with people in a fast and efficient way with; instant messaging, emailing, internet, social media, blogs and many more. Before, the evolvement of technology, letters were to be written if people wanted to communicate however this took too long, that people would neglect relationships. With the current innovations in technology, relationships can be formed and built upon instantly, regardless of location.Chairperson, opposition and members of the audience, in conclusion, our team is strongly convinced that technology is not harming our relationships with others but is bringing people closer and forming and building upon relationships. Technology is allowing ease of access with communication with others near and far and is enabling users to maintain contact with those that cannot be reached in person.Technology creates easy, instant access and forms and builds upon relationships.Technology creates easy, instant access and forms and builds upon relationships.Good afternoon fellow debaters, chairperson, (time keeper) and audience members.
