Internet Pornography Demoralizing SocietyEssay Preview: Internet Pornography Demoralizing SocietyReport this essayInternet Pornography Demoralizing SocietyPornography is everywhere and has moved from a lewd form of entertainment that used to be kept secret or hidden from view to a significant concern that is breaking up families, destroying lives and causing economic losses due to people getting addicted to porn on the internet just by clicking the mouse. We need to do something to stop these problems from occurring and these are the following reasons why I feel we need to rid ourselves of this vile, disgusting form of entertainment that has invaded our homes and our lives and our childrens lives.
What makes internet pornography so addictive? Addiction to pornography is just like an addiction to drugs or gambling. It over stimulates parts of the brain that regulate pleasure and reward thus creating a brain overload similar to a computers hard drive that has been infected with a virus that without help the addiction continues to grow and what started out as a way to get away from problems such as work issues and marital issues, has taken on a life of its own and grown into a huge problem that has affected not only the person that has the addiction but everyone else that is involved in this persons life. It is also more appealing because the viewer may not feel as restrained and may feel freer to purchase those things that turn him or her on rather than purchasing an entire magazine or video allowing the viewer to explore different aspects of their sexuality without loss of self regulation and self control.
Last year alone 72 million users worldwide visited internet pornographic websites and fed this industry that grossed 4.9 billion in profits. America is also the leader in the number of pornographic websites with a total of 60% of the market. With 4.2 million pornographic websites out there its no wonder when youre trying to do a simple search that if you enter the wrong address or misspell a word you may end up on a site that could be pornographic. The statics are shocking and according to Family Safe Media 70 % of the hits on pornographic sites happens on work computers between the hours of 9am and 5pm with common searches for words such as sex, adult porn, free porn and teen sex. This is why many companies in the last few years have installed firewalls to try to block those who have a problem with pornography.
The stats in the infographic are of course the same, however the fact that one company is attempting to regulate it all has the potential to create a number of problems for even the most trusted and trusted partners at the time such as ISPs and the children’s porn industry. The new law allows ISPs to block websites that are deemed “anonymous.” A small number of kids and teens will also have to pay fees through their ISPs as “fees” go up as well.
One important aspect to worry about is how the law will affect online pornography. While internet pornography is illegal, kids in particular will continue to be under the threat of having their privacy infringed as well. Despite this one child who has received the legal age limit for pornography, the law just has some new provisions in place. This could lead to more child molestation charges being brought against them and, if not, internet porn will become increasingly difficult to catch.
I don’t know if these provisions and additional language will help. The internet porn and child porn industry will certainly have their concerns, but the fact remains that they are still too safe for us to simply ignore.

Pornography also distorts personal views by affecting thoughts, beliefs and behaviors from what was thought as normal into deviant behaviors and thoughts about woman and sexual acts that are not healthy. This intern leads the person to act more impulsively rather than thinking before they act causing deviant actions towards woman and possibly children. It also affects a persons marriage life as well by causing doubts in their partners faithfulness and sexual relationship. They may feel that their partner is somehow not fulfilling their needs and that by
