Italian Tax Mores Case Study.
Italian Tax Mores Case Study.
This case work is about the Italian federal corporate tax system which has similar statutory tax system and tax rates just as the U.S. system.
After reading the case, I have noticed that the American bank has not breached any absolutes. However, the Italian revenue service was misleading and committed fraud.

Legal: As mentioned the American bank have not breached any tax laws, but the Italian revenue services and Italian tax credibility violated the tax law and also the commercials breached the juridical tax structure.

Moral Philosophies:
We see that the American Bank has paid extra taxes than they should have. Whereas, the Italians were un-ethical with the taxes and had been used for the own benefits.

Deontological: All the elements in this case should have been followed by the tax law, but only the American bank had followed the law and maintained their ethics.

Utilitarian: The good for many people would have been if the taxes were used for Italian citizen. However, only the Italian revenue services and commercials have received/ earned extra money which they never earned.

Common Man: A common man with good ethics will submit all his/her taxes that he/she should have too and will not look for any negotiations.
Conclusion: Throughout the case study it is clear that the American bank have not breached any absolutes. They have ethically maintained their duties and paid taxes according to the law. Hence, if the Italians paid taxes by following the U.S tax law, then it would be the best thing that could have happened for their people and the Italian Government.
