When I started reading the Jazz Anecdotes book I thought it was boring but as the book progressed I got interested in it because I realized it is nothing but a compilation of short stories which were interesting in one manner or the other. Bill Crow the writer of the book, who himself is a jazz player wrote this book in a manner which was funny as well as informative and would give the reader a good sense of what a life of a jazz musician is. In the book he compiled stories of getting hired, getting fired, unforgettable moments at the club, nicknames, etc.
