Whenever they would research the theory to back it up, something always came out wrong. Johannes Kepler was the astronomer that solved the problem the problem with the geocentric theory, even before other astronomers knew there was something wriong. Before Johannes Kepler was involved, most people thought that the earth was the center of the universe. Kepler proved that the heliocentric theory was correct proving earlier astronomer’s research. Johannes Kepler’s proof that the heliocentric theory was correct changed history by revolutionizing astronomy.
In 2004, the Kepler Committee of Directors of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences submitted a unanimous decision that found the Earth is not a center of the universe. The committee considered the theory that Earth is a rotating, elliptical, rather than a circle. The new evidence proved Kepler’ is correct, and the Council of the Academy supported it in their decision as stated in their letter:

This has many flaws including, but not limited to, the assumption that, all other things equal, the earth sits in a very flat orbit; that the earth doesn’t rotate in a circle when it is stationary (so you can’t be standing at a given point the whole time); that earth’s rotation is not at all instantaneous when not in orbit; that even in space, there are no celestial bodies that can’t get their balance wrong; a large error that is not only ignored in astronomy, but is also ignored by the scientific communities that are involved.
