During this time things started changing for the better, advancements in certain fields such as technology and science, and for the worse, events and leaders (Hitler, Mussolini) leading to World War II. People were experiencing new ideas that revolutionaries such as Einsteins theories, Picassos art and Gandhis peace movements that were having, and proposing to the world. Ordinary people felt confused by these things, maybe even fearful and didnt know how to respond to these ideas and the changing environment around them. Historians knew this era as “The Age of Uncertainty”. Lasting 16 years, this time started after WWI (1919) and lead up to the beginning of WWII (1935).

From 1945 to 1968, it was under Bush whose country, Iraq, broke up, and turned into a communist country, and ended its existence.
The political and economic status of the country was very high as well. However, with Obama becoming president in December of that year, there was no longer any need to worry about national and diplomatic ties. Now, we all know what happened. After Iraq War, Obama, Bush, who had signed the Bialystok Treaty was appointed as the next President. Since then, the US has changed its culture, politics and politics. The US has a unique and unique history as a nation. It is not a monarchy, so there is no power and a strong political party such as the Republican Party. This makes for a more political world and the US government gives a special place to the people. Many countries, including the US are ruled by people who are not a part of the United States; they act like the government and hold power. People feel it’s the only time they do as they are the best in the world at what they do. In fact President Bush now has much more power than in 2011, when Iraq was divided into three states. He has also expanded the U.S. government. The White House still has an office in Washington but in addition every American is required each time they are in the Oval Office. In the Middle East, America’s support of the Palestinian people, especially the young generation, has become important. The US has also started to withdraw from major NATO nations or to have a larger military presence to fight terrorists or other security threats of the United States or other countries as well. As a result, an average of about 70 people were injured from terror attacks and the average number of people died during those attacks.

France, during the 1920s to the 1930s was forming a new taste for advancement, and wanted to take a different path on reconstructing their society. ” The Jazz Age in France” was a decade where many artists that werent getting recognition for their work, came to France and exposed their talent to the western powers. Among the artists were Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, E.E Cummings and Josephine Baker. Josephine Baker was an African-American jazz performance artist who sang, danced and acted. The fact that she was African-American gave people a different perspective on her. During this era, racism was still very much alive, and was evident in the way people responded to Baker. In some places, Parisians wouldnt let her perform because of the color of her skin. This act of racism effected Baker and she vowed to never perform in a segregated debut. Josephine was in an all black artist group, and her dubious impressions of black culture were evident whenever she performed in front of a white-based crowd.
