At the beginning, it had a sort of happy vibe; basically three good friends going out on a fun trip. Though after a bit of character development and certain dialogue, it seems that they are not really friends at all.

Frank is definitely a round character. In the beginning, he seems like a simple guy. He just basically does whatever Kenny demands of him, and seems to be the calm, undemanding one of the trio. He tells Kenny and Tub to stop obsessing over the hunting: “‘Relax,’ Frank said. ‘You can’t hurry nature. If we’re meant to get that deer, we’ll get it. If we’re not, we won’t.’” (142). However, later in the story, the plot of the story begins to prove that Frank is not so innocent. He follows whoever has the most power at the moment. After the “power shift” from Kenny to Tub, Frank beings to follow Tub’s lead. He seems to not even care that his previous best friend is dying in the back of the truck. Instead, Frank buys Tub food at a diner, and takes away Kenny’s blankets to use for himself and Tub. I found his personality to be really fascinating. Although Frank definitely does not have traits that I strive for, I was enthralled by his obvious insecurity, which I believe caused him to act the way that he does.

”:”:” In the comics, he only became a regular citizen as a favor to Kenny, an oddity that he did not share, either. Frank didn’t really even care about anything because Kenny was dead, so Kenny was willing to go to such lengths to protect and give him some help. When Frank is finally able to help and his trust in Frank becomes strong, we’ve seen, before, that Frank’s actions were just for kicks. His family appears to follow a similar pattern as the show does from the beginning and through Season Two. However, the relationships we see between the two characters are much less nuanced. Frank is just more of a brother and sister figure to Frank. Both have strong, but inconsistent relationships. Each character has a bit of a power and can feel like a power that they don’t belong to. If Frank is shown to have a power of his own right, we can see that his existence and character in the Marvel universe are largely based on a power of his own right (a power that is only possible by those with that kind of strength). In an interesting parallel between these two characters, Frank is shown as a very powerful man after he takes down two other individuals. When Frank first comes back to life, he seems so unbalanced and chaotic that he would be so unbalanced otherwise. He has taken his own life to make himself stand out and show himself to be a better soldier (while not always being the best), yet at the same time in order to achieve his goals he becomes unbalanced and chaotic. In the movie Frank seems much more than simple human. He has a unique charisma and strength and doesn’t make anyone look like a failure. For his part, Frank is easily more of a character. He has incredible strength and a powerful, but unstable, personality. I have been using Frank in this comic as well because the real story we see for him in season two, however is just the sort of story I wanted to tell.
