Half Nelson an American drama film was released in 2006. The director Ryan Gosling did a great job at portraying an inner city high school teacher, Dan with a serious drug problem who forms a friendship with one of his students Drey. When I read the article I couldnt visualize the characters so after watching the movie I had much better understanding and could put it all together.

I felt that the shooting wasnt done by a professional cameraman. The shots were too close up and came across as unprofessional. It made me feel that I was so involved that I could hear every breath Dan was taking and I felt as it I was right there in that movie.
