True Love in WarLove and war, two concepts that are so contradictory it is hard to believe they could ever coexist simultaneously in one society. War is a state of conflict, hostility and chaos which wreaks havoc on civilizations as opposing forces struggle to defend their cause not matter what the price. The writer of the story “Kurt Seyt and Shura”, Nermin Bezmen, portrays how love is being changed throughout her book as a result of war, great love and revolution.This drama starts when Colonel Eminof (Kurt Seyt), friend Petro Borinsky shot his own soldier.  Throughout the book, the writer explains how important the life of the soldier to the Colonel Eminof is. As a result of that event, as quoted in the book, Colonel Eminof addresses Petro: “I am writing this report that you have shot one of your soldiers, and violated my orders when I made it clear to you never shoot before you see the face of the person.” “Please do not write this report, you will kill my career, I will lose my title and my   profession will be dishonored.”“Then if you want to live with the dignity, you will write your letter of resignation, in addition, pay the soldier’s wife an amount of money for the husband’s soul.”This event resulted in creating war between the Ottoman Empire and the Russians. Eminof Seyt, was invited to a ball before he sets off to war with his friend, Celil. Celil was engaged to a beautiful woman, which he promises to marry when he comes back from war. According to Nermin Bezmen, Seyt friends dare him to kiss any girl in the ball before twelve midnight. A beautiful, innocent young lady, Shura walks in the ball. Seyt eyes are not taken off her beauty. Celil interrupts: “Looking at someone is not kissing her, at 12 the bet is over! He laughs”.“She is too young to play such games; I call the deal off, Seyt replies”They stare the whole night at each other, however; no one speaks to the other yet. Each one of them is dancing with a partner. Later that night, they introduce each other to one another. Seyt quotes according to the story of Nermin, he says: “If I have a reason to come back victorious from war, you (Shura) are my reason.” Shura blushes, and she replies saying
