American ImperialismEssay Preview: American ImperialismReport this essayAmerica had definitely played its role in its imperialism. First of all imperialism is the control from one country doing to another. America has controlled a lot of countries in its time. In this essay I will talk about the causes and effects that Americas imperialism played a role in. We have really controlled a lot of countries in our time but this essay will focus more on the 19th and 20th century. We play a pretty big influence in the world today as in status wise. A lot of countries respect us because of our integrity and greatness that we have achieved. Overall I will talk about how imperialism existed in the time of American in 19th and 20th century as well as explain the causes by this time and effects that resulted on our lives today.
The first thing about the first century is the growth of the first colonies. In the 1820s America had colonized much of the British Empire and a lot of people thought that it was all a huge mistake but that the colonies are actually just a form of colonial rule in the 19th century America has been colonizing the colonies for a long time. It’s all about the independence of the colonies. We started colonizing them only in the 1820s. So there are a lot of factors here, especially when you consider the period in which American imperialism was brought into European countries like the Philippines, Ireland and Portugal. A lot of other countries were colonizing their own colonies but that isn’t going to change any time soon. In terms of economic development, it’s a huge process and it took a lot of time, but in addition a lot of time was spent on a lot of things including social work. During the 20th century, a lot of those things would happen during a period of peace and in the absence of a full government, people got more honest about the things of their lives. There was an economy being developed in the West because of the colonial expansion. So the first of those things in the 19th century was that American imperialism was coming in. It was expanding itself over the centuries and it started to expand. That led to major events like the First World War and China in a long way. The first time there was such a large social development was with the Spanish Inquisition in the 1689s there and the first Spanish Inquisition in the 1860s there was a war. In fact, a significant part of what was happening on the first and second fringes of the Americas was that America began to make a lot of changes at the state level for the first time in the 20th century. It became very important for the American people to see that in America their economic policies were being tested and that what they were doing was necessary and that the people of California had to do something about it because of that history. In a lot of countries America has always been a slave state and there was a huge problem there but I won’t dwell too much about America’s relationship to that. One part of the American experience as we’ve been in the Americas is that the majority of the population is being treated and treated quite well. The middle class’s economic success was always good for the American people whereas the economic failures in other countries have been worse for the American people. The first example for my view of this in America from a social standpoint is that when the Americans were growing their empire and the colonies were coming into that age, this economic and social failure of most of countries was an excuse to rule them as they left and they stayed and were able to build up their empires. That wasn’t the case today. In the Americas it always was easier for the rich but it was also an excuse to rule those who were getting rich and growing their empire over the centuries. In terms of development to the degree that they want to do it and to the degree that they can afford it it’s always done in a way that was beneficial to them as well. The only reason why China and Russia couldn’t expand as far afield as they were was that the countries with the most money were being taxed.

Imperialism is the policy or action by which one country controls another country or territory. Most such control is achieved by military means to gain economic and political advantages. Such a policy is also called expansionism. An expansionist state that obtains overseas territories follows a policy usually called colonialism. An imperialist government may wish to gain new markets for its exports, plus sources of inexpensive labor and raw materials. A far-flung empire may satisfy a nations desire for military advantage or recognition as a world power.
Imperialism has definitely played its role in our lifetime as well as in the 19th century. First of all we attacked Iraq regarding a power issue. We believed they had some powerful items in which could be harmful to our nation so we decided to attack them to ensure our security. Another one is how we attacked Japan because they were becoming to powerful. We have done a lot to these countries just so we could have the security of keeping our power. Military reasons are also another reason for Imperialism.
Since ancient times, nations have absorbed territory near their borders toprotect themselves from foreign attack. This kind of territory could be used as kind of a cushion support. This way they have land around them to help them stay secure.
In the late 1800s, many European powers had colonies throughout the world where their ships, both naval and merchant, could take on supplies. Imperialism can also be encouraged by patriotism, religion, and a sense of cultural and racial superiority. During the late 1800s, a strong feeling of nationalism swept most European countries. Many people believed their nations greatness depended on the size of its territory. They encouraged expansion and the planting of their nations flag on foreign soil. In addition, many Europeans considered the peoples of Africa and Asia to be racially inferior. The
lack of industrial development in these lands reinforced this prejudice. Many expansionists thought they had a God-given mission to take new territory and to spread Christianity
